  • Ideal Holland retreat

"Very nice cottage. Amy was very easy to work with. The house was furnished with supplies just like if it was my own house. We enjoyed everything from using the gas grill on the deck to the basketball hoop in the driveway. It is on a nice, quiet street (except for the garbage truck that showed up at 6 in the morning and was rather loud). I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone."

  • Perfect in every way!

"The house was a perfect place for our entire family to get together for the week. It is right between Grand Haven and Holland if you want to do something in town, but far enough from the city to feel secluded and quiet. Very quick drive to the beach with multiple access points. We have stayed in a number of houses up the Lake Michigan Coast and this one is by far the best! The owners were very friendly and accommodating and provided an extensive surplus of amenities while we were there. The photos far from do the house justice. It is very spacious and has a great loft upstairs attached to the master bedroom. The home is very well-maintained and we would recommend it to anyone that is interested. I will mention too that they have highchairs and pack-n-plays if needed. We were not aware and brought all those things along with us. It would have saved some room if we'd known. It is very kind of them to provide these items. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!"

  • Fabulous "Sandcastle on the hill"

"From the very beginning of searching and inquiring about rentals, Pat's communication with me was great. The house sits at the end of the street so there is really only one close house neighbor on the one side. We rented this lovely home for bringing in the New Year with friends of ours. Our expectations were exceeded when we noticed how fully stocked and clean this house was. It really has just about all you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. This is an older home that has been updated nicely for the layout. The home decor is fantastic. The living room was equipped with a gas fireplace that we used our entire visit. The dining area has a huge eight seat table. The kitchen has newer appliances and has everything you need for cooking and the fridge has an ice maker. The eat in kitchen has bar stools for the counter and a small table that we used for euchre. All this overlooks the park and channel of Lake Michigan with a wall of windows. The master bedroom is off the kitchen and it is a nice size. The bed is absolutely huge. There is no tv in this room. The attached bathroom is large and the shower pressure is grrrreat. The laundry room is off of that and it is equipped with nice and new appliances, complete with detergent, softener sheets and stain spray. We did a few loads of laundry during our visit. The upstairs has no bathroom so our pals that slept upstairs had to come down to the main bath that is off the kitchen. This is a cute bathroom and actually backs up to the opposite side of master bedroom but we didn't have any issues with sound while they took showers. The bedrooms upstairs do not have tvs. Our pals said they slept comfortably. The downstairs/converted garage has a full bath, a sitting area with an additional full size fridge and a separate bedroom with a bunk bed, two twins and a flat screen TV. All perfect for the kiddos or adults that want privacy. There are a lot of stairs so I would not recommend for people that may have issues. The outdoor area has multiple decks that would be great for warmer months to hang out on. The hot tub, we can't forget the hot tub. We absolutely got our use out of it. Ahhhhhhhh... The smaller back yard has a firepit, picnic table and lawn chairs. Overall, this place was great and the little touches are really appreciated that the owners have put into it for renters to enjoy. We definitely want to come back again. Feel confident with booking this for your next getaway! Thanks again, Pat!"

  • Great family accommodations! Baby gates inside and on upper deck make it pretty kid proof

"Location great to both Tunnel Beach and Holland State Park. Bike/walking/running path right out front door. Biked to Grand Haven and also through Holland to south side of lake Macatawa. Wished there was another large garbage can. Left a big can of garbage for incoming renters :( because garbage day is Thursdays. Nice new Weber grill and large table for 8-10 for outside dining. Kitchen is stocked with great utensils/pots/pans/muffin tins/etc. Wished they had more dish towels. Only had 2 so we used lots(too much) of paper towel. Cooling A/C alittle uneven. Quite cold lower level and warm upstairs. We left outlet plugs for upcoming "little guests". Not related to rental but we were told at Tunnel Park annual passes for 3 cars were good at all parks. Then at Holland State Park we were told this type of pass not valid. So we had to spend more $$ on passes. Private beach usage was not available due to erosion. DeBoers for breakfast and bakery items. Blueberry picking at Bowermans. Ottawa Beach Inn was fun to walk to and sit outside. Short drive to Itty Bitty Bar. Great menu and fun atmosphere! Worth the drive !!"
