  • Piece of paradise!

"If you're looking for a quite, clean, private, relaxing, beautiful getaway, look no further. We were so happy we found this cabin. Pictures truly do not do justice to this hidden gem. Nick and Laura were the perfect hosts. Thew were very responsive and caring, and the truly went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We forgot to bring our sheets and they did not hesitate to offer their own. They recommended activities for us like kayaking and ATV trail riding. We tried the ATV that you can rent in town and we had a blast just roaming the many local trails. We saw a lot deers, birds and wild turkeys. If you like kayaking you definitely have to try it. Nick has some available and he is very helpful if you had never kayaked before. Our favorite part of the cabin was the river which is right next to the cabin. As soon as you get out of the car you can hear the water gushing and the birds chirping. Just breathtaking! The screened porch was perfect to enjoy every meal. You could hear and see the river while enjoying the morning coffee. The cabin is very clean and comes stocked with every appliance you need, refrigerator, oven, grill, cooking supplies etc. Once you experience this beautiful place, you'll want to book again right away. The security deposit was returned the very next day. Thank you Nick and Laura for an unforgettable weekend!"

  • Truly a place to relax.

"Gordy's Glory was perfect for us! It was clean, very well-outfitted, and just the right size for our family of four. We were able to take several day trips to Pictured Lakes (~1.5 hours), Iron Mountain (~1 hour), and even Mackinac Island (~2.5 hours plus ferry time). We always looked forward to our evenings back at the cottage. There were Sandhill Cranes in the yard daily, as well as geese, blue jays, and humming birds. The sound of the water from the bay was pure relaxation."

  • Family wedding

"This was a perfect house for our four families with 6 children. We were in the area for our son's wedding and it was the right size for all of us. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and there were plenty of bathrooms for our size group. Sitting on the deck looking out at Lake Michigan at sunset was very nice. Wi-fi was excellent for such a large group. Working with the owner was easy and I am very happy to have found such a nice property."

  • Great Location, excellent house

"This house has a great porches, fantastic kitchen, and a master bedroom suite that beats most homes. The upstairs bedrooms are good but don't compare to the master. Overall the house is very well appointed. We stayed as 3 couples and we all want to go back next year. Living areas are appointed with period furniture, dining room is great, but it was the kitchen where we all gathered and threw all kinds of food on the island for browsing brunches. We really liked being a short walking distance to all of downtown Harbor. Short walk to public beach, The Pier, coffee, etc. The cars were only used to go up the hill to the IGA but other than that it was all walking and fantastic. Sandy and Bob called to make sure everything was good and it was better than good!. This house is a special place."
