  • Beautiful Lake Home on a quiet lake

"We enjoyed our stay. Something for everyone, fishing, kayaking, darts and a nice deck with a full view of the lake. The house had plenty of room for all of us to spread out or spend time in the front room playing games. All of us had a great stay here and would come again without question."

  • Incredible family vacation!!

"Our family of 8 had the most amazing time in northern Minnesota at this lake home! Perfect location, very clean, spacious house. Beautiful clear lake/beach and we loved playing water volleyball with the sandy, weedless bottom. Just minutes from downtown Nisswa and wonderful pubs/restaurants and shopping the cute boutiques. Thanks for the recommendation to Rafferty's pizza- it now my husband's favorite! My best times were having my morning coffee watching the sunrise on the dock and sitting around the bonfire near the beach and hearing the loons. Thank you so much! We are definitely looking forward to coming back! Wonderful family memories!!"

  • Nice place for a big group

"The house was great - nice and big. We were a group of 12 women in our 30's, meeting for a reunion over Labor Day. Everybody has moved across the country by now, so we decided to meet for a weekend up north. There was plenty of room in the kitchen area for everybody to hang out and socialize while we made food together. The place is also pretty close to lots to do - within 20 minutes of a variety of choices (breweries, riding stable, town). It was a cooler weekend, so we didn't all go swimming, but note that it's weedy close to the dock (just as you'd expect though, most MN lakes have conservation ordinances preventing people from making beaches). It was nice though - the water was refreshing. Plus, we didn't run out of hot water even though we had that many women! I suppose the one knock I've got about it is the rental process. Sherry is very sweet, and helpful with lots of ideas to do around town or on the lake, but there were clearly some trust issues there. She just kept asking what we were going to be doing the whole time, and insisted on coming by to check us in even after I told her once we got there that it was a straightforward place, it looked great, no questions. She ended up coming to the house on Saturday afternoon (well into our stay) and the check in process was her showing me the stuff that's already clearly written on the contract, check-in document, and notes around the house. It came across as nosy, and it was a disruption to our vacation, so I'm sour about that. I assume she just wants to make sure people are having fun, but she inserted herself too strongly into our private time. She asked why we were getting together, what we were celebrating, what we were planning on doing.. a bunch of times. I assume she wasn't satisfied by my answers. She kept asking, which is where that snoopy feeling came from. It was like she wanted every detail, like she was trying to approve our plans or something strange. To end on a good note though, we all had a great time. We stuck around the house for the most part, made our own food, and really got a chance to relax and have fun by the lake. The open format of the kitchen/dining/living area was really nice. One night we went over to Zorbaz, which is the perfect raucous townie bar/restaurant you could ask for. Food, lots of space, impressive selection of local and MN beer on tap. Overall we enjoyed ourselves on our stay!"

  • Plenty of space to stretch out.

"Nice location (off of a quiet road but still close to town), spacious house, comfortable beds. Beautiful view of the lake. We couldn't find a guest book with any information, such as the Wi-Fi code. Some appliances and furniture are outdated, but still functional. Kitchen light didn't work. 3 season porch was closed off since it's winter, but I'm sure it is very nice to have in the summer."
