  • A superb vacation

"There are no negatives about this cabin. It is in terrific shape, well-stocked with the necessities, and in a spectacular location. We loved our week here and had no desire to leave to do other things. The lake was right outside our door, as was tubing, skiing, cruising, and fishing. More than that, though, Jim and Carole are consummate hosts. They are nothing but gracious and respectful of their guests' space. Thank you for a great week!"

  • Great Week On Cross Lake

"This was our 2nd visit to Peaceful Pines. Quick review of our stay; it was fantastic. The cabin & grounds were in perfect condition upon arrival. The cabin is fully equipped from kitchen cooking & outdoor grilling gear to relaxing. The beach area is excellent as is the dock system & boat lift. Location makes walking to town for dining or groceries a 10 minute stroll. Due to being located on the east side of the lake, you can watch the sun set every evening directly across the lake. Peaceful Pines is a great place to visit for a summer vacation whether you are young or old. I am looking forward to our visit next summer. RDP"

  • Holiday getaway

"We've been lucky enough to spend the last few years at this home for a long weekend. Convenient location, lake is perfect size without an over abundance of traffic but provides good times fishing. The house has always been very clean and well equipped when we have arrived and appreciate that the owners meet & greet us when we arrive. Plenty of room for our family group and the attached garage with the extra refrigerator and the arcade games is great when the weather is less than perfect or to end the nite. Great spot for a lakeside getaway."

  • Beautiful View with a Sandy Lake Bottom

"We rented the Eide's upstairs unit for our honeymoon and had a really nice time. After planning a wedding in 3 months we just wanted a place to go shut off our brains and take it easy. It was a good place for that! The unit was very tidy and had most everything we needed for cooking (other than an oven). We spent the first afternoon laying out on the lawn reading. It's a wide open space great for games, or family gatherings. The neighbors came out to introduce themselves and chatted for a while. We fished off the dock and caught a few bass and pike. It's a very central location with plenty to do so we took a day and drove up to Itasca State Park, then headed back towards Brainerd another day. The lake water was clear as day with a really nice sandy bottom. A foot or so of rocky shoreline but it was no problem at all. They have a big fire pit which was really nice to sit around and watch the sun set and the moon rise over the lake. The view was unbeatable really. We would love to come back again and are grateful for the restful vacation. Side note: Paul Bunyan Land in Brainerd is not worth the $22 admission. Pirate's Cove Mini Golf in Nisswa was much more fun."
