  • Gopher Getaway

"A large group of friends and I organized a college reunion up at this cabin. The property is exactly as described! Fully equipped and comfortable for our large group. We rented a pontoon from a nearby marina and had a great weekend. The owner was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. The best part of the property (aside from the house itself) is the location. The Wharf is just a stone's throw away and the cabin's location in a small bay off the larger lake is wonderful. Could not have asked for a better home for the weekend!"

  • Attractive without Fussiness

"Our family of 10 adults found this cabin beautiful and comfortable. It is the kind of place where you don't have to worry about scratching the coffee table or knocking over a fragile lamp. We were there for a winter stay and found the blanket supply inadequate, however. Luckily, I had a full size comforter and two fleece blankets in the car. Cooking utensils big enough for a group were another problem we had to deal with. We found only one frying pan. The only saucepan was a 2 qt size so we had to cook our pasta in batches. Even the electric fry pan was the smaller size. The cabin is in a remote area. The young adults went to visit the gun store in nearby Osakis and had fun. They also played football on the frozen lake. The owners provided us with a large table to play cards and we found a dvd player and some movies to watch in the evening. (We brought some with us, but they were blue rays.) The stairs leading to the second story sleeping area are very steep and high. The bunk house was a comfortable place to crash when it was time to sleep."
