  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"The house had everything we needed for a nice family weekend including toys and books for the kids and pool toys. We had a great time. And grocery stores were close by. Gorgeous hosta gardens, secluded and fenced in with a nice firepit area. The outside hot tub had a nice foliage privacy fence. The garage held 2 cars and room for 2 more in the driveway. The upstairs hall closet was large enough to serve as the baby's room - his pack and play fit in along with a chair for mommy to sit when he woke up in the night. (Just don't tell my grandson we made him sleep in a closet!) The claw foot tub in the master bedroom was gorgeous and perfect for rinsing the chlorine off the kids after a fun afternoon in the pool. It is near a train track and you'll hear the train whistles, but otherwise you'll feel like you're in your own little world."

  • Wonderful stay in this spacious home

"Our family rented Colby Lake Place for six nights. On the weekends we had 13 people in the house and did not feel at all cramped. We had gathered from many states to attend my son's wedding. The house was exactly as described. It was clean, roomy, nicely furnished, well stocked with essential kitchen items, and in a lovely neighborhood. We found we were no more than 30 minutes from anything we wanted to go to. Our family made daily use of the paved trail around the lake that was just steps out the back door. We enjoyed lots of gatherings in the kitchen which was spacious enough for us all to be together. The deck was used to relax on - except when the mosquitos came out. The only semi-issue we had was that the downstairs was much colder than the upstairs. We managed to work it out - and found space heaters in the closets to take the chill off before bedtime. All in all it was a great place to stay and I would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Bill for allowing us to stay in one of your homes!"

  • Family Vacation

"My wife and I are both retired. We decided last summer to treat our three children and seven grandchildren to a family vacation at the lake. We visited Mr. Georges at his Bass Lake Escape property and decided to reserve it over a year in advance, for this past week. The property delivered everything we could have asked for. There was plenty of room, we had good WiFi reception, cable television, a nice beach, good fishing and our grandchildren had a ball everyday of the week we were there. We could not have asked for more. Mr. Georges was both gracious and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We are seriously considering repeating our family vacation at Mr. Georges property on Bass Lake next year. You would not be making a mistake renting this property. Jim Fisher Brooklyn Park, MN."
