  • Magical river bluff escape

"This special place exceeded all our expectations. The architecture is so beautiful that I stayed up all night just walking around and looking at it. It feels very freeing just to be in this home. The views are amazing and the bed was super comfortable. When I finally went to bed, I slept better than ever. The views of the river are perfect, and the property is ideally situated between both Hudson and Stillwater. We are already booked to come back to this beautiful place in a few weeks. They even left us beer!"

  • Wonderful stay!

"Love, love, love this home!!!!! We came up to visit our daughter who is now working and living in St. Paul. We brought our two dogs up. The home was perfect and everything we could need was provided. There is a walking path ride outside the kitchen door- great for taking our dogs out for exercise. We plan to stay here again!"

  • Nice spot on the lake, beautiful views

"The property was as stated. The great room has amazing views of the lake and a nice gathering space and kitchen. It was a little chilly at first (we visited mid-March) but the heater and fire warmed it up in a few hours. The kitchen was stocked with utensils/pans and we had no trouble cooking meals. Andrew and Evamarie were very responsive to our questions. The house was tidy and their peninsula is fun to explore. We would stay there again!"

  • Great for a quick get away from the Twin Cities

"Most of our group came over from the Twin Cities area, this cabin is located about 45-60 minutes away. Cabin comfortably fits 10 to sleep, is perfect to a larger groups of people looking to spend time by a lake. Kitchen is nice and open and easy to prepare large group meals. The beach is nice and very pleasant to swim in or just hang out on the dock. The kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes where nice to use on the lake and there are life jackets in the shed. We are planning on returning next year. Pro Tip: You should bring your own toilet paper and paper towels if you have a large group. Some toilet paper/paper towels is provided, but we were glad we brought some roll of our own. -Oliphant Brewing is only about 8 miles away if you are looking for local craft beer, they are also attached to a liquor store if you are looking spirits Also buy firewood in town, there is no fire wood on site. Also the Cleaning List: this has been a topic on many of the reviews, it is long, but if you have a few people in your party you can get it down in about an hour or two. I think if the cleaning list was gone and people just cleaned up after themselves and un-made the bed it would probably be better, the problem is that I am sure some people do not clean up after themselves and would leave the place very messy."
