  • Great for a quick get away from the Twin Cities

"Most of our group came over from the Twin Cities area, this cabin is located about 45-60 minutes away. Cabin comfortably fits 10 to sleep, is perfect to a larger groups of people looking to spend time by a lake. Kitchen is nice and open and easy to prepare large group meals. The beach is nice and very pleasant to swim in or just hang out on the dock. The kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes where nice to use on the lake and there are life jackets in the shed. We are planning on returning next year. Pro Tip: You should bring your own toilet paper and paper towels if you have a large group. Some toilet paper/paper towels is provided, but we were glad we brought some roll of our own. -Oliphant Brewing is only about 8 miles away if you are looking for local craft beer, they are also attached to a liquor store if you are looking spirits Also buy firewood in town, there is no fire wood on site. Also the Cleaning List: this has been a topic on many of the reviews, it is long, but if you have a few people in your party you can get it down in about an hour or two. I think if the cleaning list was gone and people just cleaned up after themselves and un-made the bed it would probably be better, the problem is that I am sure some people do not clean up after themselves and would leave the place very messy."

  • Very nice and spacious living space

"Very nice property, spacious. Can easily fit more than 6 people. The space is also close to the freeway which is great. My only issue is that the upstairs bathroom was clogged. We let the renters know about the issue and they came out to fix it."

  • Little cottage on the lake

"We enjoyed our stay at the cottage, which although small had adequate space for our group of 5. The furniture could use a little updating, but the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and anything else you need to cook with. Missed having a dishwasher, but we used some paper products so we didn't have too much to wash at each meal. The gas grill on the patio was really dirty, so we used aluminum foil when grilling. It appeared that it's been a while since someone did a good dusting, but the beds were relatively comfortable. We had our stay recently and unfortunately it has rained quite a lot up there, so the little beach was getting smaller by the day, obviously not the fault of the owner. I would recommend this place."

  • Great stay!

"We rented this place for a stop along our motorcycle trip. The owner was very accommodating and promptly answered any questions we had. The place exceeded our expectations! Very unique style to the house. Upper and lower levels are nicely done along with the great balcony, fire pit, and awesome views. It is secluded from neighbors/traffic. A tarp was even left for our motorcycles, cold beer in the fridge, fresh coffee, and made it very easy to start the fireplace. This is a great place to stay and we will stay here again if we are in the area. I am not one really to write reviews, but the owner went above and beyond to make our trip more comfortable. Can't thank you enough!"
