  • Great gathering

"This was an amazing property to enjoy with a large group of friends. It was close to some great hiking trails and to Grand Marais!"

  • Wonderful 2nd stay!

"This was my second visit this year! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with others and for letting me bring Jack (my dog). Definitely my place for soul searching and retreating! See you in the Spring!"

  • Perfect Getaway

"A group of 12 friends shared this house for a long weekend. It is fantastic! Comfy beds, lots of things to do, and very clean. We all had a great time and hope to come back next year. The only thing that would be nice is to have some newer cookware and bakeware in the kitchen. We cooked all our meals and with 12 people, it would have been nice to have a bigger frying pan and we also had to go out and buy some tinfoil pans. But all in all, great house!!! Thank you!"

  • Wonderful lake cabin experience

"One of the most enjoyable weeks at the lake that we have had in a long time and we've been doing this for many years. The cabin was clean and the windows and deck provided a wonderful view of the lake which is very important to us. We had everything we could need with the very minor exception of some ice cube trays. The grass and area around the cabin was neatly maintained and the fire pit a relaxing evening experience, especially so with the pleasant couple next door in the Timberdoodle. Turtle Lake is beautiful and I am still surprised at how quiet it was. Owners were extremely accommodating with near immediate response to the questions I had. If I could improve on one thing it would be the dock. I brought my expensive fiberglass fishing boat and had to be extremely careful pulling alongside and tying up to it. I was relieved that we did not have any storms as it is exposed to the SW and trailering it would be a chore. We came to fish for smallmouth bass exclusively and my grandson and I had a blast catching them on light tackle. The MN DNR's special regulation to protect the smallies on Turtle is a real bonus. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable week and I'm already anticipating our next stay."
