  • Love it!

"This is the second time I have stayed at this cabin, and I just love it! I spent a long weekend with my 2 Border Collies hiking and relaxing in the remote peace and quiet. The cabin is comfy and cozy, and is nicely stocked wtih plenty of cooking and eating supplies and nice dry firewood for use in the outdoor firepit, the indoor wood stove and the amazing sauna. The owners are great, very responsive and helpful, even sending a video to ensure I knew how to unlock the very tricky gate. The dogs and I spent our days hiking for hours on the neverending 4 wheeler trails, and our nights relaxing with a fire. We never saw a soul, and it was a great way to spend a long weekend. I would highly recommend this cabin if you are looking for a remote, peaceful getaway, and I hope to keep taking advantage of this gem as often as I can!"

"This property is perfect! It's clean, it's quiet, it's on the gorgeous beach, it's close to canal park and all the shopping and restaurants! Really what more could you ask for?! (except a personal chef and maid) ;)"

  • Bayside Retreat Annual Fishing Week

"For the past 3 years we have spent a week in June fishing on Crane Lake. The past two years have been spent at the Bayside Retreat. Our group numbers from 4 to 7 each year depending on who's available and we bring our own boats. The home is located perfectly for our group, 5 minutes from the bait shop on the main road for all our fishing needs and 5 minutes to Voyagaire or Nelson's resort when we get tired of eating our own cooking. The home is well maintained, clean & up to date appliances, plus Wi-Fi & satellite TV and a great dock with power to recharge our boat batteries. Could not ask for anything better. We are looking forward to our fishing trip in 2017. Thanks Jo Ann, we had a great time again this year."

  • Great retreat

"My family spent an awesome week at this cabin. The beach and water are every bit as beautiful as they are in the photos. Our daughters enjoyed the beach as well as splashing around in the sandy shallows. We even caught two teeny fish from off the dock! The cabin has huge picture windows and depending on which seat you choose, you will have a beautiful view of the big yard and lake, or the birch-laden woods. I spent every morning with my coffee cup enjoying the woods and the many birds, butterflies and chipmunks that visited the property. We also saw loons, deer, and a porcupine during our week in the area. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfy and plentiful, and the cabin has heaters to cozy it up for the couple of chilly mornings we encountered. There was also a trail we found down the road from the cabin (called Ski Trail Road on Google) that was equally beautiful for a hike or drive through the woods. Rick and Deena were wonderful hosts, checking in and offering tips when needed. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of games on the screen porch for the rainy day we had while we were there. Overall, this is just a great spot! Highly recommended."
