  • peaceful, very clean, they thought of everything.

"the cabin is very well maintained and cared for. all you need to bring is clothes food and fishing gear, everything else you could need is there. the pontoon with the trolling motor was perfect for the lake. we spent hours catching crappies, sunfish, and bass. was very peaceful, so the name peace of pine is appropriate."

  • Awesome cabin for a family!

"If you are looking for a cozy cabin by the lake with a GREAT person to rent from, this is the one! Whenever we stayed at this cabin, we were up in Grand Rapids doing a job that last 6 weeks. Dan had already closed the cabin down for the winter, but reopened to allow us a nice place to stay at an affordable price. The coffee pot was missing and whenever we ran to town and came back, he had one sitting on the counter. After the first nights stay we noticed the microwave was missing as well. I sent Dan a text and had a microwave a couple days later when he made it back into town. He worked with us on our check out date as our job was day to day at the end, and was more than happy to do anything we ever needed him to at the cabin. The cabin is set up with you walking into the kitchen with the dining room to your left that has big sliding glass doors the give an awesome view of the lake and sunrise! Your living room, bathroom, and main bedroom with queen bed are also on this floor. The bathroom doesn't have a bath tub, but the shower is large enough for anyone. The second bedroom is up the stairs that are beside the dining room. There are four beds upstairs and it would be the perfect set up for kids or some friends to be able to chat at night after a fun day of fishing or sports on the lake! Dan and his properties come highly recommended. He is great to rent from and work with on getting everything the way you want it! A+++++ and highly recommended. As a plus there is also a resident bald eagle! You are about a 10 minute drive to make it into Grand Rapids"

  • Great little family cabin

"Our stay was great. We had all we needed and were close to some hiking trails. My only complaint was that the bed in the main room was not a queen, seemed more like a full. Not a huge deal, just was expecting a bigger bed! The basement is completely open with tons of beds, so a great option if you have kids or want a more slumber party style stay. Bart was great and answered all of our questions quickly! Would definitely return here."

  • Camping in comfort!

"Our family of four, including two young kids, spent a wonderful week swimming, canoeing, exploring, hanging out, playing cards and having a nightly sauna. We were happy to find real mattresses on the beds (not those thin, flimsy ones) and a fully equipped kitchen. Definitely bring books and games and a desire to completely unwind! We had a small issue and the owners were more than generous in their solution. All in all, we'd love to return (though with a motor to explore more of the big lake). Definitely recommended."
