  • Nature lovers' delight!

"This tiny cottage is a true hideaway. If you want solitude and just get as far away as possible from the rat race - this is the place to be. This place and the entire North Shore is truly for nature lovers - love hiking, waterfalls or hunting for agates or just rocks - this is the perfect place for it. We appreciated that they had wi-fi and satellite TV with tons of channels. The owner makes sure that you have everything you need to make your own delicious meals. I was happy that I could take my dog with me and leave him kenneled if needed during the day. We visited Ontario and Isle Royale during our stay and loved that we could come back to our temporary tiny home after a busy day. There is nothing like having Lake Superior not even 40 feet away from your front door. Just a few reminders - the bathroom does not have a real door - just a curtain - if you open the tiny window and turn on the vent to the shower there really is no issue with the smell. The cabin has heat but no A/C - I had to turn on the heat in July because it got down to 52 one morning in the cabin with all the windows closed. If you like to fish - you can't really catch anything if you cast right out to the lake from the shore but if you bring a kayak with you and paddle out for a few hundred feet on a calm day - your chances might be better. The best fishing I've ever experienced around here is in the BWCA and it is truly worth the short drive to get there. The owner has 2 very friendly dogs but I rarely saw them during our stay. Ultimately, what I really enjoyed was the sense of being in nature with the amenities of being indoors - that is the biggest draw for me of this cabin. Also, Grand Marais is about 22 minutes or 19 miles away. If you need groceries, gas, want to eat out or do your laundry that would be your best bet."

  • Great Place to Get Away

"Awesome place to just relax and break away for a little while. Our family (and dog) enjoyed the cabin and the area the entire weekend. Listening to the waves crashing on the shoreline made sleeping in very easy. Cascade River State Park has great hiking trails and awesome views and is only 3 miles away from the cabin. We had a great day trip there one day and enjoyed Grand Marais the next day. Can't wait to go back!"

  • Wonderful location, perfect accommodations!

"Grand Marais is such an incredible area and there is so much to see and do along the Lake Superior shore and finding the right spot to stay, just makes the experience even better! This cabin on Deviltrack Lake is the perfect location for a family get together. There was ample space for adult children and grandchildren with plenty of comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate all. My favorite area was the kitchen/dinning and TV nook that allowed for all to be close for food prep and visiting and then to share a meal around the great big table. Views down to the lake from this same living area are a pleasure from sunrise to sunset. Water activities with kayaks and canoes provided, lawn games and evening fires by the water, were a daily occurrence. This cabin is comfortable and clean and has a family oriented feel throughout. Brian is very prompt, accommodating and helpful and I know this is a place we will return to."

  • Great property with a million dollar view

"Our party of nine, including three youngsters all under three years-old, spent four nights at the house. There was plenty of room inside and out for the kids to stretch their legs. The lake view from the windows and rear deck was spectacular. The place was neat and clean when we arrived. The kitchen island was an ideal place for everyone to gather. It is nicely located within convenient driving distance to both Two Harbors and Duluth."
