  • WOW!! Beautiful home & property! Exceeded our expectations!

"My sister & I were planning a reunion/ wedding vacation in our home town of Bemidji & needed a "headquarters" for special wedding guests & a place we could easily keep children entertained while we organized everything. The house was above and beyond our expectations. We ran into a couple of glitches with some electronics & a random locked door but the owners responsed immediately & had everything taken care of. We'd definitely rent this house again!"

  • Very nice

"It was a very nice updated cabin including new appliances and washer and dryer, but the distance to the lake was a bit long and steep. There was no electricity to the dock that we were aware of. Sharon and Gil Kubacek, the neighbors we picked up the key from, were a very nice couple. We visited a couple times with them and enjoyed their company."

  • Great place to stay in Bemidji with lots on MN nice

"The folks at the property have a nice little place to stay that was a perfect home base for spending a few days taking in the nearby MN state parks in and around the Bemidji area. The bunkhouse was clean, cozy and comfortable for our 4 person family and very affordable. We met one of the owners on our arrival. She gave us the full rundown on the property, things to do, places to see and made us feel welcome and right at home. The bunkhouse is simple and basic. You have a small TV with cable, a small refrigerator, microwave, stove, washer/dryer access. We were only there for breakfast meals and the 4 of us were fine eating picnic style. You're not going find a thousand cable channels and there is no wifi but that's not why your staying in the north woods. Others before us report a water smell, we noticed it as well but it did not bother us at all and is to be expected from well water. If you like to bike ride, boat, fish, golf, hike everything is just minutes away from the bunkhouse. Bemidji state park and the Paul Bunyan bicycle trail are 10 minutes away. Be sure to take in the 20min Bog Walk trail in the park if you enjoy the outdoors. Itasca State Park is about an hour away and a must see park. Plan to be there all day. We booked less than a week in advance, taking a last minute vacation. We submitted our request and received a prompt confirmation and friendly response and messages in less than 24h. We would go back to the bunkhouse and would recommend it to anyone looking for nice place to stay. Thanks for a great stay"

  • Great Up North Experience

"We had a 4-generation group and had a great time. My grandma loved that the cabin was so close to the water. She could sit out on the deck and enjoy it. My young son had fun splashing around in the lake. We did lots of fishing, and even explored the nearby Paul Bunyan trail. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. It's close enough to Bemidji that you can take advantage of the area (Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, Itaska State Park, easy access to grocery stores), but also secluded enough that you get a chance to feel away from it all. We really enjoyed our stay."
