  • Exceeded all Expectations!

"Five stars PLUS +++ This was our first time staying at Wildwood's Lodge and it won't be the last! A darling suite with privacy, cleanliness, beauty, charm and so much more. Liz and Phil have the most wonderful personalities and make you feel extremely welcome. Liz could be a professional decorator the suite has been so artfullly done and you can see the love and care she put into every detail of design. The space is separated into two different areas, one room has a king size bed, two seating areas, a television and master bath with jacuzzi and a deck overlooking the lake. The other room has an additional bathroom, two seating areas, coffee maker, mini frig and microwave, which was convenient when I woke before my husband. Liz has plates, bowls, silverware, coffee cups and wine glasses for your use with gormet coffee (instead of the usual generic hotel pouches!!). The Heartland Trail is only 1 mile away and we were able to go for a nice run and a bike ride straight from the cabin! Also, Fish Hook lake is gorgeous!!! Sand, sand and more sand. No weeds in sight, wonderful for swimming and sunbathing. My husband took out a complimentary kayak and was able to catch multiple bass, three of which were over 4 lbs (there is a shelf 300 yards west of their cabin). It was a sad morning knowing we had to leave and we are already planning our second trip. If you want a nice, quiet getaway in a beautiful setting look no further than Wildwood's Lodge. You won't be disappointed and I know when you book this rental you will find it as lovely as we did!!!"

  • Perfect for families with little kids

"We enjoyed a long weekend at this beautiful home with our group of 4 adults and 3 kids under 4. The description indicates that this is a family friendly home, but we were still amazed at how true that statement is. The wrap around deck is kid-proofed and made for an enjoyable and stress free time for the parents. Our kids enjoyed playing with all the toys (inside and out) and my son loved the "tunnel bed" up in the loft. The beach is perfect for a sunny afternoon and the beach toys kept our little ones busy. The play set got good use as well. If your kiddos want to catch sunnies off the dock- they're in for a treat! There are tons of little fish just waiting to be your child's first catch. Two of the kiddos caught their very first fish on this trip! The setting is absolutely beautiful and this lake home feels like a resort without all the noise of neighboring vacationers. I recommend the short drive to Dorset for some shopping and ice cream. The general store in Nevis is great for all the items you forgot to pack. We didn't explore much beyond that- the home was too good to leave! We will be back!!"

  • Great family get away

"We had a wonderful time last week with family and friends. Our age group went from 10-68 and everyone had fun., even on a couple of rainy days. We played games, cooked, played in the water, enjoyed the pontoon, sat by the fire at night and listened to stories and the loons. The only bad part was having to leave after 7 days😞 The homeowner takes perfect care of this beautiful , quiet property"
