  • Great condo

"Our family of 6 adults and 2 infants thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay. The condo was perfect for our needs, and could have comfortably accommodated more folks. It was clean and very cozy. We brought our own infant beds and there was plenty of floor space within the bedrooms to allow comfort for everyone. The condo is big enough to allow sleeping and family time to happen simultaneously. The large main fridge, and extra refrigerator in the pantry were put to good use as we cooked and ate most of our meals in the condo. The kitchen easily accommodated many cooks working together. The resort has wonderful layout and amenities were easy to access. All details were handled quickly and easily with Kurt by phone. We will rent again!"

  • Top-of-the-line vacation house

"Having stayed at old lake resorts over the past 20 years, we wanted to "upgrade" to a better experience this year. Boy are we glad we did! We thought we might not like having 4 families in the same house, but we liked it better than separate cabins. We thought the design of the house was well thought out got large groups. The ladies of course went right to the kitchen and drooled over the modern conveniences such as the large fridge, gas range, large buffet serving area, large counter space, dish washer and ample room for many people to prepare the food. The men were immediately impressed with the taxidermy on the wall, the HUGE extra fridge downstairs and the "million-dollar view." We had 14 adults and 5 children and never felt cramped. We were pleasantly surprised that the TV room had a door on it, so it made another private bedroom for an adult couple. During the day, we had a fun time in the beach area and on the lake. The dock was large enough for 2 boats and the owner's pontoon boat. Almost every night we built fires in the very nice fire pit. They even provided chairs around the fire pit. Since the house was away from any city, we were able to see a million stars and even a few shooting stars while sitting on the dock. Another highlight was the Wednesday afternoon Turtle Races in Longville. In addition to turtle races, they had many fun carnival type games for the kids. I was marveling at the small town hospitality I was experiencing. Coming from a large city, I had never experienced anything like that. Doug and Felicia texted us every so often to make sure all our questions were answered and our stay was comfortable. Final tip: If you need a Sunday Bruch spot, we recommend Chase on the Lake in Walker (about 45 minutes away). We chose to pre-order from a catered menu that was served in a private room (the room was free since we purchased their catered food). However, next time we will choose the general Sunday Bruch that goes until 1PM. The restaurant was not too noisy or busy, so the main seating area would have been fine for us."

  • Little piece of heaven !

"Mantrap is our favorite lake to fish for pike and musky. We have fished it for 14 years and have always stayed at resorts due to our young children needing amenities including a pool. Now that they have grown up, we decided to rent a cabin and what a cabin it was. Not only were we steps from our dock, we had everything we could ask for including a secluded bay full of fish, a choir of loons serenading us throughout the day, and access to everything we could ever want or need. Our needs were met in every way. My favorite time was walking out on the dock in early morning with a cup of coffee and listening to the songs of the loons. It was so touching watching them teach their babies. The owners could not be nicer nor more accomodating. I hope we can return for another 14 years and then some."

  • Best Family Vacation Yet!

"We take a “family vacation” once a year that includes our 4 children (ages 13 years to 30 years old, 3 grandchildren ages 1 year to 7 years old). Trips have included Florida, Maine, Gulf Shores, Myrtle Beach & San Diego – our time spent on Lake Belle Taine was voted #1 vacation by all of us! Some of our “favorite things” this week included fishing off the dock, catching minnows with fishing nets (lots of kid toys), milling around the lake in the paddleboat & kayaks, wrap around toddler friendly deck, the morning bike ride to the bakery in Nevis for donuts and of course the sandy beach where most of our time was spent. We had a pontoon boat delivered to the public dock and were able to enjoy tubing and sunset cruises – where we saw a bald eagle on the island! Thank you Tim & Ann for making your slice of paradise available for others to enjoy!"
