  • A Slice of Heaven

"My family and I stayed at this beautiful historic log home for a week and it just was not long enough. It felt like a slice of heaven. The property is so inviting and even more beautiful than the pictures. The beach area was perfect for swimming or lounging. There was plenty of space inside and out for the whole family to enjoy a week long vacation. The glassed in porch was the best place to relax in the evenings playing games, reading, and telling stories. It doesn't get any better than waking up to a lake breeze and the sound of the loons calling! We spent most of our days fishing, swimming, boating, Kayaking, and taking in the beauty of Leech Lake. There may have also been a couple of trips into Walker to shop at the boutiques. The owners are great to work with and I would definitely recommend staying at the Leech Lake Log Home!"

  • Family cabin vacation

"Our family of 7 stayed at Mike's cabin recently. It was so comfortable and was well equipped with everything we needed. There was plenty of room for all of us. Had a great time fishing, swimming and boating. The cabin was secluded and quiet. Perfect vacation for our family. Mike was great to rent from. He showed us where everything was and didn't hesitate to answer all our questions and was very accommodating. We will definitely be back again!"

  • Cozy, dog friendly, vintage lakeside getaway!

"Great cozy lake cabin to getaway for an autumn week... pictures accurately show the authentic look and feel of this little gem. Really appreciated all the help from Kirk ahead of time which led to a great experience. Also appreciate that this spot offers an affordable and lovely, high quality experience for those of us with well behaved four legged companions. My westie loved being able to join us. We all loved the patio as a spot to sit and enjoy the personality of various moods of the lake. We also used the kayaks one afternoon to tool around the pretty lake and saw both loons and eagles along the way. The town is nearby and groceries/gas available easily. The kitchen and mouse-proof pantry was well stocked and accessible for meals. Easy day trips to the Lost Forty, Lake Bemidji and Itasca State Parks were also part of our week. Since we had to work a few of the days, it was also helpful to have both internet and phone quality. The beds were comfy and the shower worked great too. We had a great time enjoying 'our cabin' for a week and would not hesitate to return or recommend it to others!"
