  • Great home near Ottertail Lake

"We used this home for a ladies getaway. Very happy with this home. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing time and this is exactly what we got. Home is beautiful and spacious with all of the comforts of a home. Loved having two bathrooms. Enjoyed using the sand beach and the provided Adirondack chairs. Communication with manager was great as well. Hope to be be able to come back sometime!"

  • There's No Place Like Home

"There's no place like home, and that is exactly how you will feel after staying on Greg and Mary's farm. Our family had a reunion and a wedding to attend to while in Minnesota. Greg and Mary immediately made us feel like family. Whether it be touring around on the 4-Wheelers or picking fresh veggies from the garden, every moment spent on this farm was enjoyed by all. The house is cute, yet spacious. Nothing was more rewarding than evening fires capped off with star gazing and laughter. Greg and Mary constantly went out of their way to ensure we had the best vacation, despite the weather. After spending the last 12 days here, I can say without any doubt that my family wouldn't stay anywhere else in Minnesota. You and your family will love it here! Thank you so much Greg and Mary!"

  • Fabulous, peaceful getaway on the lake

"We booked Wildwood to celebrate a decade birthday for my now fiancé (he proposed while we were there on the water). Wildwood is the most tastefully decorated, comfortable, peaceful VRBO rental we have reserved to date. We loved parking our car and taking off in any direction on the nice, paved bike paths. Food in this area surprised us in it's high quality. Everyone we met was so friendly. The loons calling morning and night was so wonderful to hear. The owners were such a pleasure to meet and we plan to be back the same time next year. We will tell everyone about Wildwood!!"

  • Great family cabin

"We just returned from spending a nice long weekend at this beautifully decorated cabin. Great care has given to every detail with this property. Enjoyed a very nice welcome basket with our kids favorite snacks and beverages (adult too) awaiting us in the refrigerator with a nice welcome note from the owners. Despite a severe hail storm and loosing power within 2 hours of our arrival we loved it. Owners were concerned and kept us updated on power outage and repairs being done. We had thorough contact with the owners before, during and after our trip there. This property is located on a beautiful lake and our teenage boys loved the fishing boat that was included. Our son was up at 5:30 and out fishing each morning. Caught a total of 35 Northern Pike and 1 bass during our 5 day stay. We lost some outdoor time due to heavy rain and storms, but that was out of everyones hands. The cabin is well equipped with many DVD's and books. Ample linens, towels and pillows. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Many cast iron pans to fry up your fish in. Dishwasher was appreciated as well as the washer and dryer. The basement had a bit of a basement odor despite spraying an odor eliminator. It seemed to help the basement living room area by running the A/C. Basement bedrooms are very dark with small basement type windows. The property is located on somewhat of a hill. Drive down from the gravel road to the cabin and garage then down another hill to reach the dock and lake. We had no issues, but some may depending on ambulation ability and strength. Loved the extra toys such as the paddle boat that seats 4 and the single kayak that my husband proceeded to flip over right when he climbed in. Needless to say he got drenched and so did his clothes, glasses, shoes and cell phone. We all had a great laugh! What a fun memory. They supplied ample amount of cut firewood and we were able to enjoy a fire in the firepit several of our dry nights. Fun to look at the stars on the clear night. I do have to say, the property is a bit off the beaten path. Approx 5 miles on gravel road. Nearest Walmart is about a 30 minute drive to Park Rapids. Osage is about 10-15 minutes away, we got gas, our fishing licenses and worms there. Didn't seem too out of line for prices compared to Park Rapids. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Owners are very gracious and thoughtful and were available whenever we needed by phone or text. You won't go wrong!"
