  • Convenient Location and a Nice Comfortable Home

"Dan is a very responsponsive host. The home was well renovated, very clean, and perfect for long term stays. I was very happy that I booked. I would recommend this home to anyone staying in Rochester. Nice two car garage was an added bonus for us."

  • Everything we wanted and more!

"We had a big group (4 families: 8 adults and 11 kids) stay at this house during Christmas break. This house is even better than the pictures. The kitchen is amazing! The house is huge, even with 19 people it never felt tight. Everyday the Dads went snowboarding with the boys (it's very close to Welch Village and not too far from Afton Alps) and the Moms and younger kids stayed at the house. We had coffee, played games and prepped dinner for the evening. We have been going with this group for many years and we have stayed in hotels in the past...never again! This was a vacation for all of us whether we snowboarded or not. We went into town and got groceries the first night and I don't think I even left the house again until it was time to leave! Ken was more than great to work with. My son even left his wallet there and Ken found it and mailed it to us. There is only 1 bedroom with an ensuite bathroom so since there were 4 couples we drew for bedrooms. There are 3 other full bathrooms so it really wasn't an issue. Everyone had privacy. All four couples got their own bedroom (3 of the rooms have more than 1 bed so that was nice for the younger kids) all of the older boys stayed in the "bunk room" in the basement. There really was more than enough space for all of us. You will not be disappointed with this house. We can't wait to go back!"

  • Beautiful, large house, perfect location for St. Mary's access

"My family of my husband and myself, our 5 children (ages 2-12) and my mother rented this house for 5 weeks while my youngest daughter had open heart surgery at St. Mary's. The house was in a safe, well-kept area of town. We enjoyed the walking access to Kutzky Park, the bike path, restaurants as well as the downtown medical buildings. St. Mary's is very close (within view, 3 minute walk) and I was able to stay at the hospital with my daughter but come back to the house to shower and eat easily. The house itself is in great shape. Furnishings are in great condition and a contemporary, clean style. The bathrooms are all remodeled in upscale style and the bedrooms are comfortable and large. The house is charming, with a front porch and kind neighbors. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are plenty of towels and extra quality bedding. The owner and property manager are very kind and responsive. You can not go wrong renting this house. It is a gem and we were sad to say goodbye!"

  • Great NYE Stay with Friends

"We had an excellent time at this property, and had everything we needed for a wonderful New Year's Eve gathering, with no real issues. Our group had 4 couples, with 2 extra people just for NYE night. There was enough space for everyone, with utilizing the lower level pull-out couch, but it will certainly be nice when the additional bedroom/bathroom are completed this year. We've rented quite a few cabins, and this one held it's own in comparison. Everything was clean and organized and we loved the easy access to the hot tub just steps from the lower level door. Some people in our party utilized the lake to ice fish, and caught a HUGE Pike. I can imagine the lake would be great in the summer time. For NYE, we visited the nearby Spicer Castle for a private Murder Mystery dinner, which was fun. We also visited the nearby park for a hike during our stay, which was quiet and fabulous with an observation deck at top. There was a lot to do nearby, such as a winery I'd love to check out on a future visit, as well as stores, etc. if you needed anything. I'm pretty picky on giving a 5 star rating, which is why this was a 4. What keeps it from a 5 for me? Just a few small things: I didn't love the setup of the loft bedroom right outside the master bedroom because it made the master seem less private than the other rooms. Also, the master bathroom was tiny with little vanity space and the door to the closet area between the master bath/room had a doorknob issue - don't close it behind you or you'll get suck! Lastly, the kitchen area was lovely, but could be stocked better. We couldn't find a wisk and could've used some additional pans, etc. It also would've been helpful to know that there is only a Keurig and not a regular coffee maker, which I think would be helpful for a large group. Lastly, the couple staying in the first room to the right when coming from the garage advised that their bed would be better placed if not against the wall that shares the bathroom. We did miss cable on the tv, but mostly because it was NYE and we wanted to watch the ball drop. All in all, this was a great property, and we're already considering a future visit. I wouldn't hesitate to reserve it again!"
