  • Perfect home for a family vacation!

"We recently returned from a family vacation at this property. It was my parents, myself and my husband, 2 siblings with spouses and 4 young children. The house had more than enough room for us, being our first family vacation in one home-it was so comfortable to have our own large bedrooms and many different options for space to lounge/relax. Upon arrival, Tom and his staff greeted us and couldn't have been nicer. Tom gave us a tour of the space, answered all of our questions and kept in touch during the week if I needed anything. The house was spotless, all of the bedding and towels were great quality. A nice touch was a small set of shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. in each bathroom-truly felt more like a hotel experience than being in someone else's home. The house is VERY well stocked as other reviews mentioned. Included were beach towels, large bags of ice in the freezer, basic cooking staples etc. There are also miscellaneous fishing rods, inflatables and a lily pad that are available for guests to use which was awesome-the kids and adults spent hours of fun on the lily pad. Fishing was the highlight for the kids and adults-off the dock and we rented a pontoon and there were quite a few good spots around the area. Highly recommend renting a pontoon and exploring the surrounding lakes! The only thing to take note of-if you have older guests, there are a number of stairs and the boulders leading down to the lake could be a little tricky to navigate. But there is a bedroom on the main level, so they would definitely be comfortable accessing the main living area, kitchen, deck etc. I highly recommend this property-definitely worth the money!"

  • Cabin retreat

"The wabedo cabin stay was a good experience and weather co-operated. The cabin is being up dated, bathroom area is very nice, but still has the feel of up north. Going down to the lake on the new wood stairs and looking at the lake and the sounds of the loons was peaceful & restful, and did some casting off the dock. Fall is in the air, but a nice fire in the wood stove took the chill away. Maybe a few more channels on TV to watch those Viking football games. All said a nice place , had a great time. Thanks for everything."

  • Wonderful week

"Spacious, very clean, beautiful location. Sunsets magnificent! Great shower 😊 spacious living and sunroom area, comfortable new furniture. Nice beach area, clean clear water and basically no weeds! My family has been renting cabins each summer for many years, and this is by far the nicest and most comfortable."

  • Beautiful property on a crystal clear lake

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in mid-August. The home accommodates multiple families with it's multiple levels and 5 bedrooms. It is decorated beautifully throughout. We found the elevator to the lake VERY useful. The beach was nice and the dock had room for our boat. We spent a lot of time on the lake tubing. While it's a relatively small lake we still found it very nice. The water is so clear and there is little traffic. The bugs were pretty awful while we were there but we did utilize the upper fire pit a couple of times. More than enough seating for everyone! The only drawback to this property (for me) was the lack of space for small children. I have a 10 month old and a 3 year old and I spent a lot of the time worrying about breakables (there are many) and corners. Also, the only spot carpeted for an early crawler was the basement so we had some challenges there (the basement is lovely but I didn't really want to spend my time in one room the entire trip). Certainly not a deal breaker by any means but just wanted to let others with very small children know if they are considering this location. I would suggest this property for adults and older children. It has every amenity you could need and is very comfortable. We will definitely consider this home again in the future."
