Vacation rentals near Keesler Air Force Base

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was very clean on move in and and anything I needed was already there! The only down side is the proximity of the railroad track but definitely not a deal breaker.

Comfortable Elegance! More than we expected in a close and walkable beach community. Indoor comfort, luxury bedding and linens, private lovely gardens, screened gazebo and a fire-pit room with fountain. Complimentary coffee, tea, waters, and snacks. Even art and history throughout. We are joy filled and thankful!

Our stay was absolutely perfect. We felt our stress just melt away when we walked in the room. The hosts were so wonderful. The room was elegantly decorated and all the little details were so thoughtful. The room had a little basket with plastic silverware and napkins because Ocean Springs has incredible food options and there are always leftovers to bring back with you. The bath had plenty of towels and washcloths as well as full size products for use in the shower. Even the scent of the room was clean and fresh without the perfumed smell of plug in air fresheners. Older buildings often have a hint of a musty smell but not this place. The bed was so cozy and comfortable. It rained one night during our stay and the rain on the roof was a beautiful lullaby. We could have stayed forever and we will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Daisy's place. The house was spotless and well stocked. We had everything we needed, and indeed, the beach is right out the back door. The sand was clean and great fun for building castles, digging holes, watching crabs and shorebirds and dolphins, flying kites, and walking the surf. It also looks like it would be ideal for fishing. However--and I didn't see this information in any of the other reviews, and I feel like it's important to know--the beach in front of the house isn't great for swimming. The bottom is sandy for a few feet, then drops off into thick, sticky mud that is easily churned up when it rains. Maybe that won't bother your kids, but mine didn't love it. Luckily, there are good swimming spots close by--Front Beach in Ocean Springs has a sandy bottom and stays 2-3 feet deep for quite a distance. It's great for even small kids. The nearby casinos also sell day passes for their pools. We also took the ferry out to Ship Island one day, which was a lot of fun but the sun was very intense. We burned even with 100 spf and frequent applications. (A long-sleeved swim shirt and shorts saved the youngest--highly recommended.) Otherwise, Ocean Springs is warm and welcoming with great food and cute shops. The Walter Anderson museum was terrific. TatoNut has ruined all other donuts for us. Overall, it was a delightful trip.

Barefoot Living was the perfect house for my husband and myself to have a relaxing getaway. Very clean and tastefully decorated, this house was very well furnished. My favorite was sitting in the rockers on the front porch. So relaxing. The beach wasn’t the best beach I’ve been to, but it was adequate and most of the time we were the only ones on the beach. We enjoyed downtown Ocean Springs, golfing at nearby courses and dining at Anthony’s and Kenny Ward’s. Two suggestions: get new beach chairs. The listing said they were provided, but one was so rusty, it would not fold up, the other was very uncomfortable. We would have brought ours if we had known. Also, the master bedroom needs blackout curtain. The sun rises at 6 am, so if you’re looking to sleep in on your vacation, you won’t.

Loved the place! Close to the beach, everything about the place made for a good trip! Just want to thank heather for allowing us to use her beach house for our vacation!

What a beautiful hidden gem! This cozy cottage is so close to downtown yet seems so far away. With great views of the water. We enjoyed walks along the path through the live oak trees down to the pier. You can see beautiful sunsets and at night an amazing view of the city light across the sound.We will definitely be back!
