  • Cottage Hideaway at the Beach

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Camellia Cottage!! Jeannie has gone out of her way to create a magical little hidden gem. The house, itself, is perfect for 2 people and 2 dogs. Which is great because that's how we travel. Please pay attention to all of the detail of the property. From the beautiful crystals hanging in the beautiful live oak that greets you in the driveway to the beautiful glass stones sprinkled into the gravel path, you just won't believe that a place like this exists. The home and property are well maintained and clean. The decor is just perfect (I wanted to steal the cool lamp with the old-school beach town shade). We live in vacation homes full-time and have rented 19 homes in the past 17 months. None have been more magically creative like Camellia. This isn't just a home, it's an experience. We absolutely recommend that you rent here and make sure to have dinner with Jeannie while you're here. How can you not love a fellow dog lover? Things to do: walk the beautiful neighborhood including the old cemetery, walk or drive to the beach, eat all-you-can-eat sushi at Ichiban (just around the corner) spend a day in Biloxi or Gulfport, have a massage or facial at the Red Lily, drive to Mobile and check out the battleship, or just sit on you patio and enjoy your private little piece of heaven. We'll be back!!"

  • Beautiful home on a quiet beach

"Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at Seaglass. As another reviewer mentioned, the pictures don't do it justice. The home is beautifully decorated, spotless and comfortable. The well equipped kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals and our family of 5 had plenty of room to spread out. Renter tips:You will be provided with an initial set up of paper products, so a trip into the local WalMart for groceries and supplies is a must. Also, there is a sleeper sofa which isn't mentioned in the listing. This was good to know since we have a couple of older boys who weren't interested in sharing a bed! My only word of "caution" is that it is very secluded and the closest stores and restaurants are 15-20 min away. If you're a family who likes to be constantly on the go, likes attractions like mini golf, waterparks, etc to be close by, or even gathering shells on the beach, then this would not be the ideal place for you. However, if you like to get away from it all, and have a completely peaceful and uncrowded setting, then Seaglass is perfect. Because our weather was chilly, we just piled everyone in the car and went on a shrimp boat in Biloxi (pretty cool!), to a Gator Farm in Pascagoula and also to Jefferson Davis' retirement home. There's plenty to do if you've willing to drive a little while. We had a great time and throughly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone looking to get away from it all in Mississippi!"
