  • Memories Has Been Full of Memories

"My son is stationed in Gulfport and we have stayed in Memories a number of times while visiting our grandchildren. Memories has been our home away from home. It has been a wonderful place to have the grandchildren over and also have time away for ourselves. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. When we have stayed at Memories on special holidays the house has been decorated for the occasion. The Morrisons are very hospitable yet are mindful of their guests privacy. They have been quick to respond to issues which have rarely arisen. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and just a short walk to the beach. The grandkids have played in the tree swings for hours. Unfortunately, our son and daughter in law are being transferred to San Diego in the very near future and our last stay at Memories will likely be our last. We are grateful for having had the opportunity to stay at Memories. We will miss the Morrisons and the home but we will have our memories of grandchildren and family time there forever."

  • Great Rental Property

"This place had everything we needed in a vacation rental. It has plenty of space, all the indoor necessities, a beautiful in-ground pool and patio area, large fenced in yard for pets, and a great location to get to and from the beach area and main highways. On top of that, it is beautiful and well-maintained inside and has DirecTV and AT&T Wifi for rainy days. There is only one bathroom, and the tub is very high to get into with no railing to use. That was an issue with us because we had some seniors with us, but we still made it work. There is a Wal-Mart just a couple miles from this location, which was very convenient. The area was good. The beaches and ocean, as you've seen in other reviews, is kind of nasty-looking. You have to go out pretty far to actually get deep in the water, and the sand/silt makes the water brown. Our kids (8 & 12) loved it, though, because they would rather look for sea creatures than swim. We found tons of shrimp, fish, and hermit crabs to examine, as well as plenty of shells. I liked the lack of crowds on the beach. We also spent time up in Gulfport and Biloxi for activities. The kids really liked going on a shrimp boat and seeing them catch & release a net full of animals. That was made better by a couple of dolphins that swam along side the boat for a while. Of course, there were many great seafood restaurants up Ocean Blvd. We had a very memorable meal at the Half-Shell Oyster House in Gulfport. Overall, a great vacation at a great location."
