  • Perfect Lake Home

"We have stayed at several rental homes in the past, and I must say this is more than we could have dreamed for. The home was beautiful, well decorated and well maintained. Molly & Mike had everything we could have wanted for our stay. We had so many kitchen items available and the supplies were well stocked. My grandkids enjoyed playing with the toys as they kept them entertained while in the house. I enjoyed the screened in porch so much and the kids loved the little boat. It was fun to see my granddaughter catch her first fish from the dock. This was close to everything for us - we went to Ha Ha Tonka, Osage Beach and many fun eating establishments. Thank you for a wonderful vacation. We will place this house #1 on our list and will look forward to staying here again soon!"

  • Beautiful, spacious waterfront home

"This place exceeded my expectations. It was incredibly spacious, multi-levels with an upper deck and a lower patio extending out to the dock. Directly on the water in a nice, small cove so there's not a ton of wake or loud boats blasting by. Nicely stocked kitchen, really nice beds and bedding. Sleeping 10 seemed a little unrealistic if you're talking adults who don't want to crash on loveseats or the floor, but we were comfortable with 8 adults there. So much space made it a great weekend getaway -- plenty of room for people to get some down time or do their own thing while still living in the same house together--ideal for our girls weekend full of introverts :). Had it been bad weather it still would have been great because of how cozy and vast the interiors are, with big, beautiful windows to still feel like you're enjoying the outdoors. Only downsides -- there was not a normal coffeemaker, just a Keurig but we weren't warned so didn't have the little pods to make coffee. And the TV in the main living room is weirdly like 10 feet up on the wall, super awkwardly high to watch a movie on so we all had to squeeze into the lower living room with a normally placed TV for movie time. Other than that, this place is a winner and I would stay there again despite those quirks. I would suggest to the owners to provide a coffeemaker and to set the AC program to cool the house before guests arrive -- we didn't realize the AC was on a timer that bumped it up to 80 at some point in the middle of the night, so the first morning we all woke up in a very warm home! Took a few attempts to realize it was set on a timer and would continually kick off and make the house quite warm unless we went through some rather complex programming. Anyway, the location was really nice, the property was beautiful and quiet and was easy to get to from the Kansas City area. I'd totally recommend this for any group of 8, give or take!"

  • Fantastic Place for a Vacation!

"The House was fantastic! We were overjoyed to arrive at a beautiful, well appointed home that is very well cared for. The house had all the amenities that we could ask for! A very well stocked kitchen. It felt like home in no time. We also loved the deck, and we spent a lot of time enjoying the Main Channel Lake view. The location is excellent a quick drive to many amenities, and the grounds are beautiful. On mile marker 8 and Across the main channel from Shady Gators! I would recommend calling Playin Hooky Water Taxi for fun outing! Other wise bring food & suits and you are set! We loved our holiday! The owner is very responsive and helpful. The information provided is detailed and helpful. We would recommend this house to everyone and will definitely stay here again. The Derringers"s"

  • Great House for families!

"We were very pleased with our recent stay at this property. We had a good sized group of 7 adults and 5 kids under the age of 4 and this place was plenty big. If you are looking for a beach for kids to play on, then this is the place for you. I searched well over 100 places in the Lake of the Ozarks area and none of them were as well rounded as this place was for children. The pebble beach entertained our kids all day and they loved jumping off of the dock for the 4 days we were there. You will find many of these homes due to the geography of the region have no beach access and fortunately this one did! The open floor plan in the home was great along with the island in the kitchen to make all sized meals worked very well for our group. You will definitely enjoy the 3 different outdoor patio sitting areas near the house. Our group spent most of our time actually sitting on the dock as there was a nice card table there as well as sat in the lounge chairs near the end of the dock. The Lily Pad (floating raft) was an added value to trip as the kids and adults enjoyed that on the hot summer days. If you want a relaxing place for a good sized group (especially with children) then this is your place. The location is about 40 minutes from Osage Beach which kept the area we were in very quiet. The owner was excellent to deal with and I spoke to him many times during the 9 month planning of this trip. He always answered my call and was professional each time. (email responses were quick as well) Great place...great lake...great time...lasting memories!"
