"My husband and I stayed at this condo for a weekend get-away to celebrate our anniversary. I'm a little Type-A, so I really dug through all the options to try to find the best value. I had never rented anything more than a hotel room before, so I was a little nervous. Main priorities: a balcony with a lake-side view, wifi, a DVD player, and a king-sized bed.
It's just a few yards from the car to the door, and we had no trouble getting in. We were very impressed by the quiet, secluded balcony and the beautiful decor of the condo. It's clearly been remodeled--the outside of the condo looks older and more worn-down, but the inside is stunning. The (very comfortable) king-sized bed with the TV in the bedroom was perfect for relaxing, and there were plenty of "extras" in the kitchen--pots & pans, silverware, dishes, coffee pot, slow-cooker, etc. Kitchen items we couldn't find: coffee filters, corkscrew, and salt & pepper shakers. Maybe they were there and we just missed them, but either way, those are easy enough to bring in your suitcase if you need them. The bathroom was clean and a decent size. We didn't find a single bug in the condo (you kind of expect to find a couple when staying so close to a lake), and we greatly enjoyed our stay.
I noticed one of the previous reviewers had described the balcony as being cramped and small. It is a little small (probably 4 feet from the door to the railing), but the main issue is that the table is just 4-6 inches too big for the space. My husband had a little bit of trouble squeezing past that table to get to the other chair, but once you get settled, it's well worth it. The chairs are comfortable and the view is exactly what we went to the Ozarks for.
We did have to text the owners at one point during the trip (we weren't understanding how to work the lock on the door), but they responded immediately (under 30 seconds), and their quick explanation solved the issue.
Just one more note: This really is ideal for either a couple or a couple + kids. If we went with another couple, we'd probably seek out something with more than one bathroom and a dining room table (rather than just the bar). But as it was just us, it fit all our needs perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place for a couple's get-away."
