  • Great for a family reunion

"We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at Lost Branch Lodge for our annual family reunion. It was great having bedrooms and bathrooms for the entire group. The lodge had everything we needed for accommodations, making meals as well as indoor and outdoor activities. It is such a peaceful and private setting, and only a short drive to Kirksville for provisions. We enjoyed bonfires by the lake, taking canoe rides, fishing and relaxing in the rocking chairs with our morning coffee. This was our first stay at the lodge, and we look forward to returning next year."

  • Quiet, clean ... great location.

"Enjoyed a restful, quiet stay. Everything was clean. Just a few recommendations: 1. Needed at least one more blanket - didn't want to turn up the temperature too much and we only had one comforter for 2 bedrooms. 2. Sink was slow to drain. 3. For 3 adults for 6 days, we could have used more toilet paper - didn't mind picking up more, but this might be taken into consideration. Great space! Thanks!"

  • Weekend Lake Getaway

"We had a great time celebrating my moms 50th Birthday at the lake. We needed a big house to hold 30+ people. There was plenty of space for everyone to sit and mingle. The dock had a diving board, jet ski dock, two spaces for boats and chairs to sit on. We wanted an open concept and the kitchen/dining area was the perfect size for everyone. We wanted to find a place that had more than one bedroom on the main floor, but that is hard to find in the area. There was a master bedroom on the main level, a master suite and 3 bedrooms in the lower level, and another bedroom, bathroom and kitchen in the lower lower level that you can access by walking down the outside stairs. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and everyone slept comfortably. The views that the bedrooms had were water front stunning. The owners had some water toys and life jackets that we didn't know were going to be there. There wasn't a front picture of the home when we booked the property and the drive way was very steep, but we managed to get two cars in the garage and 4-5 cars in the driveway, the rest of the guests had to park on the street. The birthday girl had a great time, she didn't want to go anywhere but sit in the screened in deck area. Gisela was quick to answer any questions we had about the property. Since it was in a yacht club we could use the club membership fees if we wanted to use the yacht club facilities or boats which were about 5mins away. The home is close to restaurants and shopping, but you have to cross the toll bridge which is $3 each time you cross it. If you are looking for a lot of space with breath taking views and water access call Gisela today to book this lake home!"

  • Beautiful Chalet

"This is our 8th year renting a property at Innsbrook. We like to try out new ones - always looking for the one that is perfect for me and my extended family. This chalet is just beautiful. The pictures really do not do it justice. The owner is great to work with. The beds are comfy. The grounds are extremely well maintained and manicured. The kitchen is big enough for three adults to be working in it at the same time. The only drawback (and this is a personal thing) - we wished there were more pots and pans. But we managed to make it work. Other than that - the kitchen is well stocked - lots of extras. The kids and adults enjoyed the five kayaks that are available for use. We even looked up the rules for boce ball (no doubt I have misspelled that) and played a couple of rounds of that. The sandy beach is perfect - goes right out to the water and our two five year old boys loved playing in the sand making castles and moats. We had a great time and hope to be able to return next year. Thank you, John, for opening this chalet up for our use. It is lovely!"
