  • Beautiful condo

"We can't say enough about how exceptional this property was. It truly felt like our "home away from home." Our two daughters and their families stayed with us. It was the best Thanksgiving we have ever had. We are already planning our next family trip."

  • Very nice and well stocked vacation home

"Our family stayed here 7/14/16 thru 7/17/16. The home was very well stocked and very clean. The deck is shaded which worked well because it was very warm , and usually had a good breeze. Spent most of our time outdoors swimming or fishing. Very convenient to grocery shopping or Captain Ron's for dinner and drinks."

  • Family Gathering

"We had a family gathering (16 ppl) who stayed in the house. It was wonderful that each family had their own bathroom. The pool and playground were steps away, which was a bonus. We were going to use the fire pit, but was always out too late to utilize it. Several attractions were minutes down the street, while the main strip was just a short drive away. The house was spacious and suited our needs and larger capacity perfectly!"

  • Cape G's Old Town is on the rise, and Kage House is in the heart of it

"If you love Mississippi River life, good food, antique and boutique shopping, brew pubs, music, dancing, barcades, farmer's markets, coffee and wine shops, you can't do any better than ensconcing yourself in the heart of Cape Girardeau's most interesting sector, Old Town-- and this well-priced, well-appointed rental apartment will put you exactly where you need to be, in comfort and in style. The historic building has its own parking with only a few steps up to the entrance, and you'll pass the perfect party deck on your way in, offering sun-rise views over the Mississippi and plenty of opportunity for people-watching (don't forget binoculars, at dusk you'll want to check out the opposite river bank for wildlife). With a full kitchen, you'll be able to create your own meal or enjoy the leftovers from last night's dinner out. A nice little sitting area offers a pull-out couch, and the adjoining master bedroom is spacious, offers plenty of light (and both blinds and blackout curtains for overnight), a super-comfy king bed & squashy pillows, great sheets. The bedroom also has incredible views of the river and street life. Even though train tracks are a couple of blocks away and nightlife can get busy, only minimal noise made it through the walls at night, we had no problem sleeping. This isn't usually the case for me, I was surprised I didn't need earplugs (which I forgot to pack anyway). Bathroom is small, but it's clean and the shower pressure is good. Plenty of towels available. My husband and I hope to return because Old Town has more to offer us, and this place is a definite gem. We're hoping we can take it again. (Other suggestions: Minglewood Brewery, Katy O'Ferrell's, "36" Restaurant, and Stevie's Steakburgers. Check out the Farmer's Market in season, it's a jewel.)"
