  • Perfectly peaceful mountain retreat!

"A friend and I planned day visits to Glacier National Park and rented Doug and Mimi's cabin for 5 nights in September 2016. The cabin was exactly what "us city folk" needed and desired. We were very active during the day hiking and looked forward to arriving home each evening to our mountain retreat. Many nights we sat on the front porch with a cocktail, stargazing and listening to complete silence. The only thing that could be heard was an occasional rustle of leaves. It was such a peaceful experience. We also had a family of deer that greeted us each morning. The cabin itself is very clean with all the modern conveniences you'll need. Two queen beds, one in the bedroom downstairs and one in the loft where I slept. There is a sturdy ladder that leads to the loft which was not a problem navigating. The highlight of our stay were the delightful owners, Doug and Mimi (along with Mimi's home cooking!). If you stay, you must order her breakfasts. They come delivered each morning by the engaging Doug, and are prepared with such detail and care. We had huge omelets, egg casserole, yogurt with fresh fruit and warm breads topped with homemade butter and jams (Mimi is not only a talented artist but one heck of a cook). She also baked a delicious cake for my traveling buddy's birthday which fell during our stay. The duo could not be any more personable and accommodating, truly love having guests, and it shows in every detail! I highly recommend staying at Little Bear Cabin if you desire to be free from city irritations and noise and among the sounds of nature. The location of the cabin is truly perfect peace, we will be back! p.s. we rented a car and drove to Glacier National Park. It takes roughly 50 minutes from the cabin to the West entrance of the park."

  • Christmas Holiday

"Spending the Christmas holidays in this lovely log home was truly an 'only in Montana' experience. The home was impeccable and had everything we needed. The kitchen had the needed items to prepare meals and everything to set the table. Also, Plenty of firewood for the snowy days and nights. The setting is stunning with the view of Flathead lake and the mountains beyond. We were cozy and comfortable the entire week. Blacktail Ski area is an easy drive from the house and the village of Lakeside offers some great dining choices as well as one of the best bakeries around. We are looking forward to returning to see what the summertime brings in this beautiful home and location."

  • Great Family Stay

"We stayed for a week in September of 2016 and family came in from 5 States. There was plenty of room for everyone and the property is perfectly located in Columbia Falls along the main road. All the area attractions were within 10-15 minutes including Glacier Airport, Whitefish and Glacier National Park. Our group said it was the best stocked kitchen they have ever seen. We loved the covered back deck and as we had some rain, it came in handy. We enjoyed the fruit trees and ate plums, apples and pears. Unfortunately, we missed the cherries. There were two full service grocery stores nearby so stocking up was very easy. Natalie was terrific to answer all questions we had and we would definitely stay there again."

  • Arlene S.

"Our week in August celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary with our family members was just awesome; beautiful lake home with outstanding décor, art work, etc. and of course such a comfortable warm atmosphere. We have such treasured memories and a memorable time. We were so fortunate to have found such a great place for the occasion and highly recommended it to those planning to visit the Flathead area"
