  • Incredible place

"My father-in-law and I got soaked as a storm rolled through the bitterroot while we were passing through on a motorcycle excursion.. John was incredibly nice and let us stay the night when we called last minute. We had never been here, and when we pulled up we were in awe. The lodge is beautiful and the view is breathtaking. The hot tub was clean and exactly what we needed being soaked and chilled to the core. It has everything one could want, and I realized that in the winter it has great access to backcountry skiing. This lodge will see us again. Thank you so much!"

  • The cozy "Nest"

"Our overall response is very positive. Unfortunately, we were so busy with the daughter's wedding we did not get a chance to enjoy the quiet and glorious view of the Bitterroot Valley. The kitchen was a DREAM and so fun to work in. I would recommend this VRBO to those who want (or can), take time to sit and appreciate the panoramic view of this incredible valley."

  • Beauty abounds! Peaceful...quiet. leave your worries behind.

"The view is beyond spectacular. We completely enjoyed our short time at the Eagles Nest. Dale and Tracy are lovely hosts. The porch is so nice and extends to outdoor living space, but needs some real outdoor furniture. I might suggest an automatic fly spray appliance spraying towards the house, something you would see in a barn. Caulking. I woke to live fly under the covers. I understand log cabins lend themselves to fly's but this was pretty populated inside at all times. Germs. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. It was very clean. We did not have the time to enjoy the fire pit but it is so nice to have, along with some wood to get you started. Next time!! I might suggest different couch and a small upholstery chair. Maybe hang the TV above heater. Rearrange. Great setting just needs more comfortable seating inside and out. Many thanks for sharing your homestead with us! Blessings."

  • Incredible views in a place that offered privacy...brings the outdoors inside!

"This was an amazing experience for my husband and I! Generally, one would have to hike a trail to get a view like this tower offered...this time we just drove up and got to chill on the deck while drinking wine and enjoying the insane view! We loved the wood burning stove and outdoor fire pit. We saw a huge bull moose, elk, and a lot of deer. We did not have a 4 wheel drive vehicle- just a 2wd chevy SUV and it handled the road with no problem (granted we had great, sunny weather). Tristan, the owner, was extremely helpful and involved via text whenever we needed him. It is an off the grid property complete with solar panels, so we did try to be conservative with the electric and water usage and we had no issues. Would definitely recommend to a friend and hope to return ourselves! Did I mention the views were AMAZING?!? 😏"
