  • What a treat!

"We visited this beautiful home mid June. There are 9 of us visiting Glacier National Park as family reunion. Cortni gave out clear instructions. Upon arrival, we were stunned at how spacious this cabin is. It is surrounded in beautiful woods and charming both indoor and outdoor! The cabin is also close to Apgar Village where we can enjoy the beautiful Lake McDonald in the evening before heading back to cabin. We grilled hamburgs and sausages the first night and steaks the second night. It beats eating at the restaurants. After dinner, the kids play games by the fireplace; some of us sat inside reading; some enjoyed the porch where humming birds came for a visit. It is so relaxing that I wish we can stay longer. We love Glacier National Park and hope we can stay at King's Cabin when we do come back in the near future."

  • Perfect stay for our group!!

"First off, this place feels like a home, not a vacation rental, and several people in our group said it was the best VRBO they've ever stayed at. Second, the pictures of this place don't do it justice...this house is large, clean, and just beautiful! As a group of 6 adults (3 couples), this house was perfect for us- we each had a bedroom and bathroom on separate floors and there was more than enough room. The kitchen was very well stocked and the quality of items supplied were great- nothing is worse than a broken can opener and cheap pans! The grill worked great as well. The book shelves were stocked with books on the area and there were plenty of extra blankets for the chilly nights. While the house can be a little difficult to find, it's in a great location close to the grocery store with easy access to Glacier National Park. The area is quiet, and our stay was extremely peaceful. The river (which is beautiful!) is a short walk across the yard and a the pear and plum trees were in full production- delicious!! There were no real instructions on what to do upon checkout or some of the typical things done for vacation rentals, but Natalie was very responsive to my messages and generally very helpful. The house was very clean and not lacking for anything except a fireplace (which would have just been a bonus). We wish we could have stayed longer and highly recommend this house for a large group- we will return if we can!"

  • Perfect place to launch a Glacier National Park adventure!

"We stayed in this lovely, well appointed home for a week in June and it was perfect for us, our three boys, and our well behaved dog! Although it was the end of June, the house stayed cool enough for us to leave our kenneled pup inside and the cool evening breezes quickly cooled the house upon our daily return. The home was very clean and tastefully decorated. An extra bonus was that the large yard was fenced in and our dog was able to really stretch her legs in the Montana breezes! The beds were comfortable and the laundry machines modern and in a separate room, so we could run laundry in the house but not hear it much. The master bed and bath is quite large and is on one side of the house while the other two rooms are on the opposite side...great late at night when we wanted to sleep and the kids wanted to stay up and make a little noise! The owner is very easy to communicate with, which is much nicer than dealing with property managers who are completely disconnected from the property. The home is located a short 20 minute drive to the entrance of GNP, but only 10 minutes before you run into local tourist attractions, adventure guides/rentals, and cute shops. Downtown Columbia Falls is a short 5 minutes away and we highly recommend the Smiths Grocery store with fresh baked goods and a great hot deli counter. Do not miss the Huckleberry shakes at the Huckleberry Patch on the road to GNP...best around! Just as you pull into the street for the rental there are two brown Yurt looking buildings, one has a sign that says "pottery". If you are looking for that perfect Montana gift or keepsake for yourself, stop in! All the pottery is handcrafted by the artist who lives there and she does amazing work! We got beautiful handmade coffee mugs that look like art pieces and her prices are reasonable. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Nicole for sharing your lovely home with us!"

  • Best of northwest Montana

"Jean has created a magical place with many thoughtful, understated touches. Not only is the location ideal for Glacier NP adventures, river rafting, hiking, swimming, dining... but each day on Jean's property brings new discoveries. It's the little things: a small fan for each bedroom, a croquet set for low-key family fun, freshly picked plums from the grove on site, the hammock... even properly working wifi. This very special property creeps into your soul, providing guests with a truly special, deeply Montanan experience. Jean is a marvelous host who, although she lives on site (in a separate dwelling), allows renters their own space both indoors and outside. We couldn't have been happier with our Northwest home, far away from our own Northeast home."
