"From the moment we drove into this lovely property we discovered a unique, magical estate to host three generations of our family. The house backs up to 1.4 million acres of National Forest at the end of a County Road, so there was absolutely no traffic. Every day, evening and night was exceptionally peaceful and quiet. Resting on 40 acres nestled right next to the mountains, surrounded by an evergreen forest was the perfect setting for our daily adventures. We hiked trails on the Forest Service roads which can also be used for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The house was newly renovated with attention to detail. While it has the ambience of a log cabin, it also provides all of modern amenities. The views from every room are breathtaking. The house has central heat and a lovely gas burning fireplace for warmth and a cozy setting. We love to cook. The kitchen is completely stocked with utensils, dishes and cookware as well as spices not commonly found in vacation rentals. The very large yard is completely surrounded by a six foot fence containing cherry, apple, plum and pear trees which would be wonderful for a summer retreat. We experienced daily visits from deer, squirrels, chipmunks, turkeys and other wild birds. All generations enjoyed the outdoor actives of the wildlife while we dined next to a beautiful bay window. The description in the printout pretty much describes the other features. Glacier Park is an hour’s drive away, Big Mountain Ski resort is 40 miles away. Beautiful hidden mountain lakes and mountain streams are within 5 miles of the property. According to the avid fishermen and women in the family , all perfect for angle or fly-fishing. We are already planning a visit this summer. Can't wait to return to this special private estate!"
