  • Everything we expected and more

"I can't brag enough about our stay in this cabin. It was just what my husband and I needed to decompress from our busy 'burb life. Scott, the owner, stayed in touch and provided us with all the information we needed to begin our stay. A bottle of wine and a jar of huckleberry jam awaited us. There was also beer in the fridge. I am a big believer in that it's the little things that can make a difference. The cabin was very clean and the linens were very nice quality. The bed was very comfortable and we opened the windows at night (the cabin has no air conditioning) to let in the cool breezes and listen to the sound of Piper Creek. There was so much to do in the area and we were gone most of each day and were always happy to come back to this relaxing environment and enjoy the wine and beer! We spent two days at Glacier National Park and visited the nearby towns of Kalispell and Bigfork. Both were very charming and made for great day trips. We also visited nearby Garnet Ghost Town, which we loved. We took advantage of a hiking guide left at the cabin and did some day hikes close to the cabin. Overall, it was wonderful. We would go back in a minute and hopefully will make it back one day. Thanks so much, Scott. You have a gem there."

  • Won't stay anywhere else

"This is my 5th stay at this vacation property, but my first time with my infant daughter. I was thrilled when the owner told me that he had a pack and play & a travel high chair for me to use. Having those items available made my stay SO much easier. As always the apartment was perfect...very clean, spacious, and most importantly quiet and serene. If you are looking for a quiet get away with easy access to all of the wonderful things that the Flathead Valley has to offer, this is your place! The owner lives upstairs, a long-term resident of the area, he is a wonderful source of knowledge of things to do and places to go in the Flathead Valley area. The location of the apartment makes it an easy drive to glacier national Park. I wish I could give this apartment more than five stars, I will never stay anywhere else. It's a perfect home away from home! I would recommend this apartment for any type of get away."

  • Just what we wanted!

"My husband and I stayed here for our wedding snniversary trip. The house was beautiful and just what we expected! The property was great; the yard backs up right to the river just as the pictures advertise and there's a great dock that if you buy a Montana fishing license for your stay you can fish off of, and my husband caught a monstrous fish that we cooked for dinner one night. We made a fire in the fire pit outside which was nice and functional. The town of Big Fork was very enjoyable with shops, restaurants, lakes, rivers and hiking locations within convenient driving distances from the home. The home was very cozy and clean and even small things like a "community cupboard" with sugar and flour, etc., for your use during your stay made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Overall our stay was great and we definitely plan to return to this specific home again and again until we buy our own place in Montana! : ) The only thing I would recommend is for pet owners: if you bring a dog on your trip I would recommend you keep it on a leash or work out beforehand the home owners speaking to the neighbors about their dogs. The neighbors dogs (3) were slightly aggressive, although small breeds and seemingly harmless, and they continued to run over to the property when we were outside; there is not a fence between the next house that can contain their small dogs, and when we first arrived they barked at our feet the whole time we unloaded the car and continued to visit us at times during our stay while we enjoyed the yard. I will say that after a couple days the dogs seemed to get more used to us and became less aggressive, and also we did not mention this to the neighbors or the rental's property manager during our stay, so to be fair we did not give them a chance to remedy this during our stay. I'm sure if we would have let them know, the property owners would have done what they could to remedy it because all my exchanges with them have been pleasant, professional, they are very accommodating, and they seem excited to share their home. We did not bring a dog on our trip but if we did I could see it being stressful as to whether all the dogs would get along."
