  • Amazing views at this unique property

"We enjoyed returning to this place each day after exploring Glacier National Park. It was about a 20 min. drive to the West entrance. The view from the deck is stunning, so we had dinners and s'mores there every night. The solar power provided all the electricity we needed, and it was fun to see how much we used each day. Ty answered all our questions and took care of all our needs. We would stay here again and recommend it to friends."

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this tranquil site !

"This site is so beyond words. It sits with a wonderful full view of the lake and mountains surrounding. You feel like you can reach out and touch nature at it's finest. The green grass surrounds the home and the adjacent home. We used it for lawn games and even some of our party put up tents. WE also used the RV hook ups which were so convenient! (We rented both sites and it worked out perfectly) It has a HUGE cabana with kitchenette . The home is FULLY stocked with all kitchen you need for cooking. All bedrooms were nicely appointed. The main room is about 20 feet high with a full brick fireplace and large family table. The deck had two large tables outside. We used the firepit down by the lake each night. This rental has TONS of water play toys we used, kayaks, canoe, pantoon boat, speed boat, floaties, innertubs, everything! The kids and adults alike enjoyed this beauty of a lake.Close by is the LARGE sequoia park and many hiking trails. Being off the grid was wonderful in this place! The owners go above and beyond. 5 STARS EASY!"

  • Great cabin and hosts, but loud train!

"Good: The cabin is just like the pictures and was great for our visit to glacier national park. It was close enough that full day hikes were doable, even when we planned for hikes on the other side of the park in Many Glacier. Hiking from Apgar or Logan pass was easily doable and we got to sleep in a little since it was so close! The cabin is located near a great butcher shop, and the grill on the back deck was convenient for grilling steaks. The cabin had great amenities like coffee, oil and spices for cooking, washer and dryer, and a comfy couch and bed. Less than good (but we still highly recommend this place!): The neighborhood is a little strange, in that theres a mix of older, less well kept properties, but the cabin itself was lovely and we never had a problem with the neighborhood. The cabin does face the railroad tracks, and a train goes by frequently and loudly. Even with the heavy curtains closed, and windows shut, there's no way you won't hear it every two hours. It shakes the bed in the loft upstairs. Some days it went by less frequently but our first night was interrupted a lot, even with ear plugs (which they provide). Since this was in the rental description, we weren't upset. While the train is way too loud to ever become white noise, we were tired enough from hiking that it didn't ruin our rest for early morning hiking. The spiral staircase is very pretty, but can be tough on taller folks and those sore from hiking. Not a big deal, unless you're traveling with elderly who may want to stay on the sleeper sofa downstairs. The wifi is also slow and disconnects regularly -- I never mentioned this to the hosts, so this may not be normal. It was not a necessity since we weren't online much, and it worked long enough to access trail maps and trail status updates. We couldn't access watch anything on Netflix due to the internet speed, but we weren't upset about it because it worked for our needs. Overall: Great place to stay and the hosts really do think about providing basics you might need. I recommend it to anyone visiting Glacier National Park, but I would tell them about the noise in case they are sensitive to being woken up. I would love to visit again in the future!"
