  • Charming lakeside cottage

"Our stay at the Jellison's cottage was wonderful. Mr. Jellison is the most gracious host wanting to make sure you are comfortable from the moment you step in the door. He is a wealth of information on the area. The water boards, kayak, can canoes are a definite benefit if the weather is warm. The neighborhood is very quiet and the views are magnificent! Fineran June 2016"

  • Perfect stay

"I booked 18 months in advance because this was by far the best accommodations I could find in my exhaustive search. We had high expectations and they were exceeded during our stay. Tom and Julie were great hosts who were available if you needed them but not to be seen otherwise. The setting on the lake and stream along with the mountain view had us excited to come back each night. That is saying an awful lot with all of the beautiful views around in Glacier."

"David was very easy to work with. The home is centrally located on the east side of Glacier Park. You are within 10-15 minutes of both the Many Glacier and St. Mary entrances. For those unfamiliar with the geography, the east side of the mountains is more arid and sparsely populated compared to the west side. We stayed on both sides and enjoyed more sunshine in this location. Although this home is located on the lake most of the view is blocked by trees, but there is a walkway and chairs down by the lake. The view of the mountains from the dining room is spectacular. We enjoyed watching the clouds roll in from the west and the free roaming horses saunter by the house daily. If you are a bird enthusiast, you will see and hear several species right from the window. We saw several deer as well. Be prepared for the lake area and the Blackfeet Reservation to be rustic and not a high end resort-tourist area. The gravel road leading to the property is quite the off-road experience, but ultimately will be one of the memories that brings a smile to our faces as we think of the family members in the back seat getting bounced around. The home itself is solid with quality furnishings and decor. The beds were comfortable. One of my favorite memories will be looking at the house as from a distance with the wood log fence surrounding it. Quite a beautiful change from our tropical Florida surroundings. Overall, I highly recommend The Stone House as the perfect place to enjoy Glacier National Park."
