  • Perfect!

"My husband and I spent three nights here, July 28-30. It was just perfect. We stayed on the East side of Glacier for three nights before that, in a rustic cabin. It was very nice to have some luxury again! We utilized the washer/dryer, which was so nice after all the hiking we did. The first night, we went to Columbia Falls (10 minute drive) to pick up pizza-very good. I can't think of the name, but Karsten and Katie gave us the recommendation. We were gone all day the next two days, exploring the West side of Glacier, which is maybe 10-15 drive. We ate our breakfast on the deck before we left, taking in nature's wonders. I would definitely recommend this place to other couples/families. It has everything you need (including can koozies for our beer and ponytail holders for my hair!) and is the perfect spot to end a day of hiking in beautiful Glacier National Park. Thanks Karsten and Katie, can't wait to come back! :) Also....great BBQ place-Oso's Smokin' BBQ, located in the Tamarack Lodge, on HWY 2. Excellent."

  • Awesome Stay

"Just a few miles from West Glacier. Our family loved the Bears Den. Spacious and comfortable. Tod and Laura were wonderful hosts and displayed a ton of care in making sure we were all well taken care of and enjoying ourselves. I recommend it."

  • Perfect home base to visit Glacier!

"We absolutely loved the cabin! We were welcomed with treats for hiking and everything you would need for a five night stay. We loved having all the essentials including the bear spray! We have stayed a lot of places, and it is really great to not have to worry about paper products, foils, detergent and toilet paper!. The grill worked perfectly and the kitchen was well stocked. We stayed with 6 people- two couples and two teenagers. The teenagers had the pull out beds, that were okay for them- I don't think an adult would find it comfortable. The location was perfect! The kids could walk to West Glacier while we had wine on the porch. You will not be disappointed with this cabin, thanks for great memories!"

  • Great place to stay!

"We came up for a week to stay at Glacier National Park. We had 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids), and some additional relatives joined us for part of the stay, renting out the smaller part of the house as well. We have stayed at multiple properties through VRBO over the years, and this was the best maintained property we have stayed with. Everything was in good shape, clean, and worked well. The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable! We had plenty of space and the boys enjoyed the bunk bed room (complete with a basket of wooden blocks). The house was quiet, the property is surrounded by woods and there is no appreciable road noise (there is an occasional train, and though I could hear it, it was not loud enough to be bothersome). The kitchen is small but we cooked a full dinner for 52 people in it one night without a problem, and the dining table fits quite a few around. The patio and deck areas provide good outdoor seating as well. There was plenty of space, so everyone could find somewhere to have some quiet time when they needed it. The house is 10-15 minutes from West Glacier, it was an easy drive and our host provided directions to the park from the house. Columbia Falls is 15 minutes away if you need a grocery store. The property is also about 5 minutes from the middle fork of the flathead river, which you will pass over on your way to Glacier. It is very cold water! but people do rafting/canoeing and swimming there (we found Lake McDonald in Glacier Park had warmer water). Overall I would definitely recommend this property if you have plans in Glacier National Park, or the surrounding area."
