  • Beautiful lakefront home with very close proximity to Glacier Natl. Park

"Posting on behalf of my non-tech savvy parents: What a Montana adventure! My wife and I flew to Glacier Intl. Airport from Kansas for a week of exploring in Glacier National Park with our youngest daughter who now lives in MT. We couldn't have been happier with this VRBO rental - beautiful lakefront property easily accessible via a paved country road from the main highway, but still felt secluded and private, plus there was zero light pollution which made for fantastic star gazing each night. We enjoyed drinking our coffee on the large deck overlooking the quiet lake each morning. The spacious kitchen gave us the opportunity to make our own meals (save $$$), but we still chose to head down the road to indulge at the historic Belton Chalet restaurant for dinner. Being just a few miles from Glacier's west entrance meant we were able to sleep in and still spend a full day in the park. We enjoyed several easy hikes (Trail of the Cedars and Hidden Lake Overlook), the full day Red Bus tour over Logan Pass to the east side, a guided evening boat ride on Lake MacDonald, and took advantage of the free bus rides up to Logan Pass - being from the flatlands of Kansas we intentionally avoided driving up/down the mountain. Also, the VRBO's close proximity to the park meant we let our daughter talk us into getting up very early one morning for a pre-dawn drive around the park's southern border to the east entrance where we joined the ranger guided hike up to Grinnell Glacier. It was perhaps a once in a lifetime activity for this 69-year-old Kansan to make such a hike (rain, sleet, snow, bears, moose, and big horned sheep), while my 68-year-old wife chose to stay behind in the Many Glacier Lodge to play card games with another hiker's wife. We finished our hike in late afternoon and still made it back to the lake house with plenty of time to relax on the deck with a cocktail. I can't thank Carole enough for letting us rent her beautiful lake home - she was kind and gracious throughout the entire process. Her home was our home for an incredible week of enjoying the Montana life. — Bob & Judi"

  • Beautiful!

"Looking east to the Rockies from the deck - and just about every room - we enjoyed a glorious sunset as the setting sun illuminated the mountains. Quiet, comfortable, thoughtfully appointed, cooking basics (like olive oil and spices) already there - and a hot tub, too! Delightful stay. Thanks, Shannon!"

  • Our stay at the property was fantastic.

"Being Montanans living abroad and needing the perfect setting to renew our vows and have a party, the property turned out to be perfect. From the breathtaking setting, to the inviting, well-equipped, and clean accommodations, to the convenient access, all of our criteria and expectations were exceeded. We wholeheartedly recommend this property. Thanks for sharing such a terrific place! Todd Johnson Nevis, West Indies"

  • Lovely!

"Can't say enough about this wonderful home. Our "Gourmet Dinner Group" friends joined us for an adventure in Glacier, and this home was perfect! The location of this home is great for easy access to the park, and the views are fabulous! The kitchen was well equipped for all the wonderful meals we created, and why go anywhere else to dine when the ambiance is perfect right there. We very much enjoyed our evenings by the fire pit, drinking coffee and watching shooting stars - and we saw many! The house is beautifully designed and decorated, warm and inviting, and a reflection of its creators - Marcey and her husband. My husband and I have been to Glacier N.P. many times and there is always something new to explore - a beautiful, inspiring place to visit. We hope to bring kids and grandkids one year, and this home is where we want to stay. Highly recommend it!!! Thank you, Marcey, for sharing your beautiful home!"
