  • I could live there. Such a quiet, relaxing place.

"Clean, comfortable and convenient to Glacier, Whitefish and Kalispell. Close to good Smith's grocery store in Columbia Falls, so getting sundries on your way to or from a day in GNP is easy. If you have an all-wheel drive vehicle, you can even drive north along the North Fork Rd. to reach Camas Rd. entry into GNP. It's about the same distance as taking city and highway route to West Glacier. So great to have really nice laundry facilities inside, too. Katie and Karsten have really done a terrific job on this place."

  • Great cabin and hosts, but loud train!

"Good: The cabin is just like the pictures and was great for our visit to glacier national park. It was close enough that full day hikes were doable, even when we planned for hikes on the other side of the park in Many Glacier. Hiking from Apgar or Logan pass was easily doable and we got to sleep in a little since it was so close! The cabin is located near a great butcher shop, and the grill on the back deck was convenient for grilling steaks. The cabin had great amenities like coffee, oil and spices for cooking, washer and dryer, and a comfy couch and bed. Less than good (but we still highly recommend this place!): The neighborhood is a little strange, in that theres a mix of older, less well kept properties, but the cabin itself was lovely and we never had a problem with the neighborhood. The cabin does face the railroad tracks, and a train goes by frequently and loudly. Even with the heavy curtains closed, and windows shut, there's no way you won't hear it every two hours. It shakes the bed in the loft upstairs. Some days it went by less frequently but our first night was interrupted a lot, even with ear plugs (which they provide). Since this was in the rental description, we weren't upset. While the train is way too loud to ever become white noise, we were tired enough from hiking that it didn't ruin our rest for early morning hiking. The spiral staircase is very pretty, but can be tough on taller folks and those sore from hiking. Not a big deal, unless you're traveling with elderly who may want to stay on the sleeper sofa downstairs. The wifi is also slow and disconnects regularly -- I never mentioned this to the hosts, so this may not be normal. It was not a necessity since we weren't online much, and it worked long enough to access trail maps and trail status updates. We couldn't access watch anything on Netflix due to the internet speed, but we weren't upset about it because it worked for our needs. Overall: Great place to stay and the hosts really do think about providing basics you might need. I recommend it to anyone visiting Glacier National Park, but I would tell them about the noise in case they are sensitive to being woken up. I would love to visit again in the future!"

  • Great place to come back to after a long day of hiking!

"My wife and I planned a trip to GNP and stayed 4 nights in early October. After doing a lot of research, we were nervous about going after the majority of the park had shut down, so we wanted a place that no matter how the day went, would be a nice, comfortable place to relax. This was definitely the right choice! Prior to arriving, I emailed Lindsey and she was quick to respond with recommendations on where to go for grocery shopping and directions. We were going to arrive after the normal check-in time but she was very flexible and everything worked out great. The loft was beautifully furnished and cozy and true to the VRBO description and pictures. Based on other reviews, we knew to bring everything we would need (food, toiletries, coffee!) and had no issues. We did prepare all our meals in the loft, including packing lunches for the trail. Based on previous reviews, we knew to purchase any spices we needed for cooking, which was very easy to do in small quantities at the Super 1 that Lindsey recommended. I would recommend that if you have a question about something specific, send Lindsey an email beforehand. It is located in West Glacier, so be prepared to spend a good bit of time in the car if you are going to be hiking in the Many Glacier area, but we found it was a great base camp. It is very close to Lake McDonald, any groceries / stores you may need, a gas station just down the road, and Going-to-the-Sun Road. More specifically, the loft is located at the top of a hill with great views from the bedroom / living room. Pending the weather, you will be able to see some great sunrises / sunsets from the comfort of the loft! In slightly warmer weather, there is a nice little balcony with a view over the field and mountains in the distance. If you visit GNP, you will not regret choosing this place to stay!"

  • Love, Love , Love this place!

"My husband, son and I stayed 3 nights over Labor Day Weekend. I happened across this place on VRBO after my husband dropped the ball and had not booked a place the night before we were to leave. Upon finding out that it was only 1 mile from park we immediately booked it. When we arrived we were very pleasantly surprised to find a very nicely done new 2 story Cabin that was spacious and well decorated. Everything was very cleaned and looked brand new. We were greeted with wine and homemade cookies. While we were there it was very quite with only one other couple staying at the lodge. There was an outside fire pit a beautiful patio with a lingo pong table. I'm telling you no hotel in the area could match the setting. Plus so close to the park, which we hiked all day, each day. The owners could not be any nicer and extremely responsive to request. If you want an excellent place to stay this is it."
