  • Cottage in the Woods!

"As soon as we arrived we noticed the awesome smell of a discover a freshly baked Huckerberry Pie awaiting us! We had pie from a few other places during our stay, but this was the best by far. The cottage was perfect for our week of hiking and enjoying GNP. Very clean with park maps and bear spray to use. The craftsmanship displayed when the owners remodeled after their purchase was excellent, showing an attention to detail. The cottage is on a large property with a fire pit with wood provided to enjoy the evenings. The owners we're very accomodationg and offered great suggestions on places to eat and see. I would like to return soon! Highly recommended!"

  • Spectacular view and great host!

"I cannot say enough about how generous Irene is! She went above and beyond on hospitality front! We know about the iron in the water (we are well informed by Irene and other reviewers) so it is not a problem for us. The view itself, makes everything else trivial, if the hospitality itself is not sufficient to make up for the water. :) The house is right by Duke Lake. I don't think there is street number associated with the house, but Irene's direction was very clear. We arrived with full car load of grocery and was in awe when we walk into the foyer. The view through the back door from the kitchen made us speechless! I could sit on the deck all day and be happy! As a matter of fact, that's what my sister did on one of the raining days. Instead of hiking in the rain (the rest of us who are willing or being talked into hiking), she enjoyed the beautiful lake from the comfort of the house. There are so many birds flying across right in front of her. My daughter said she can move in there permanently and I'm right behind her. :) We sure will contact Irene when we come back to Glacier in the future. Thank you Irene. Cindy"

  • Perfect rental for a big family

"This is the second year our family has rented the Chateau. It couldn't be a better fit for a big group that includes both adults and children. Little ones can be put to bed and away from the noise of adults, who can enjoy a terrific game room/bar, or sit outside on the deck and delight in the incredible views of the lake. The home is fully stocked with almost anything you want or need and there are enough dishes and flatware to host a big family dinner. Two refrigerators make it easy to have room for all the guests' food and drinks. There is a great washer and dryer if you're staying for several days and need fresh laundry. It has quick and easy access to grocery shopping, golf and public lake access.Todd and Shelly could not have been more accommodating. We'll be back!"
