  • Great house. Great location.

"We enjoyed this rental for a 5 day winter stay in Whitefish. It is a perfect jumping off location for skiing at Whitefish Ski Resort, backcountry outings in neighboring public lands, or an off season ski visit to iconic Glacier NP. The best part is the location. After a fun day of playing, it is only a 2-5 block walk to any number of Whitefish's great downtown restaurants or bars."

  • Great Cabin, Great Host

"A spectacular cabin out in the woods, prepared by a thoughtful, patient host. The pictures are accurate but do not fully capture the "in the woods" feeling that emanates from this experience. We skied, watched the snow come down, tended the cozy woodstove, and ate amazing meals produced from the impressive kitchen. Whitefish Ski Resort, the welcoming town of Whitefish, and the shopping amenities of Kalispell all were within minutes of the cabin while feeling like you are out in the woods. We slept wonderfully, appreciated the quiet of the site, saw several deer, and relaxed by the fireplace. The host communicated well. This will go down as an all-time family memory."

  • Great Location, Quite Environment

"A beautiful home with a cozy living room and fireplace for evening conversation. Quite and calm neighborhood. Close proximity to town and the B. Large dining table and open main level worked great for a larger group. Our group consisted of three individuals and two couples. One with one child the other two children More properly suited for three couples. Two couples with no children and one couple with four children."

  • Excellent Homebase for Glacier Country MT Vacation

"This house was an outstanding place to stay for my family of 5 (including 3 teens) during our western Montana vacation. Location is secluded yet within walking distance to town in one direction and hiking trails in the other. We saw more deer than dogs on our excursions from the house. The deck is the perfect place to sip morning coffee or enjoy a drink in the evening - furniture was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal - appliances were first class. My son enjoyed having his own accommodations in the Bunk House with his own television, while the girls loved the loft. It truly felt like home. We enjoyed hiking down Big Mountain and renting a pontoon on Whitefish Lake. We drove to Glacier National Park 3 days and didn't make a dent in in our list of things we wanted to see. Merritt's recommendations on restaurants were fabulous - don't miss Ciao Mambo's if you like Italian or Sweat Peaks for ice cream. Thanks for one of our best family vacations ever - we look forward to coming back someday. The Troughtons"
