  • We loved Walking Bear Lodge!!

"This home is lovely and very comfortable. The setting is peaceful and quiet and is within a short drive to Whitefish and Glacier National Park. We had 8 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. There were no negatives. There are steps in the home, so just be aware of that if anyone in your party has problems with stairs, although there are bedrooms and a kitchen on the lower level that does not require stairs. Great kitchen upstairs with room for all of us to gather. Everything we needed or wanted was there. The porches are awesome as well. We would absolutely return to this great home!!"

  • Fabulous stay / everything we needed / great location

"My husband and I travel to Montana every year on vacation. For most of these trips, we've used VRBO to rent an entire home that can sometimes cost less than one room / bath at a national park. This home was an exceptional value for the money. It's quite spacious, with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and all the amenities - including a wonderful large hot tub which came in very handy for easing sore muscles after a long hike. The views were beautiful and the wildlife seemed to visit almost daily; tom and hen turkeys, and a doe with fawn. Seeing the fawn prance around the tom turkeys (obviously wanting to play) and they wanting nothing to do with it was hilarious. And, I even caught an 18 inch northern pike out of the lake from the dock just using worms as bait. The best review is one that says, I can't wait to stay there again. And, I can assure you, we will!!!"

  • Beautiful, serene, and exceeded our expectations

"We've stayed at many Home-Away properties over the years and The Cedar Chalet exceeded our expectations. The owner and the property manager went our of their way to make us feel at home. Our flight arrived 12 hours late that day and the property manager stayed up to meet us at 1:30 AM just to make sure we were OK, explain how everything worked and let us know he was there to help if we needed anything. The Cedar Chalet is a beautiful and comfortable property. The hot tub was great and the 2 large screen TV's with hundreds of channels made the little time we had for relaxing in the evening great. The location feels like you're out and away from town, but when needed, a drive to town is about 12 minutes from the Chalet. The hiking in Glacier National Park is great. We enjoyed doing some good ones everyday. We'd very much enjoy coming back again."

  • Beautiful home with heavenly surroundings!

"We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home. It had all the comforts and qualities of staying at a Four Seasons Hotel but in a private home! The beds were so comfortable! We especially loved the views of the beautiful meadows with the horses running and the colorful jagged mountains and the skies! The air was so fragrant with the smell of pine! We loved sitting out on the patio watching nature at its best! There were so many wonderful places to hike to and explore! We loved the close proximity to Glacier National Park. The town is so charming and quaint! I cannot wait to come back again next year! The owners were so friendly and thoughtful! We even had home made "Huckleberry Muffins"! Such a sweet touch! We will definitely be back!"
