  • Elk Hunt 2015

"We had a great time on our elk hunt at this rental. We had numerous close encounters with elk and although we were never able to harvest one, we had a fun hunt. The accommodations were very comfortable."

  • Helena Little Mansion

"The Little Mansion shown very large for us and we can't say enough about how enjoyable our stay was. We were in town for a wedding and all the other family members were in hotels. This home gave us a very comfortable place to have the family all together with space to visit either on the deck or in the dinning room. The deck had remarkable sun rises and great access to hiking Mt Helena out the front. Several of the group hiked the mountain and found their way directly to down town where we met for food and drinks to recharge. The beds and bedding in the house were 4 star and I don't remember when I've slept so well in unfamiliar surroundings. The house had A/C but it was rare that we needed it as the weather was fabulous, cooling down nicely at night and bright and sunny during the day. The next time we are going to Helena we will definitely be looking to stay here! Again, I can't say enought great things about the house and how helpful the owners are. Highly Recommended."

  • We'll be back!

"We hosted our son's wedding at the Black Mountain Lodge and could not have asked for a more beautiful setting or gathering place for our family and friends who joined us from across the United States. Everyone who stayed on site in one of the lovely, clean sleeping cabins all commented on how well they slept under the cozy down comforters. We were able to prepare and serve 100 guests from the well equipped kitchen - something our family's gourmet chef had to see to believe. We reserved the lodge months in advance and Kim, the owner responded to all of our questions in a timely, friendly manner and the caretaker greeted us with a big smile and took the time to walk us around the property so that we felt right at home. We enjoyed feeding the horses before they were moved to a different place and can't wait to return to ride them when we have more time. We hope to return to the Black Mountain Lodge in the future so that we can relax and reminisce about how perfect it was for the wedding and family gathering. We would highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to reconnect with nature, family and themselves, or for someone who wants to host a do it yourself wedding. You won't be disappointed."

  • Quiet and comfy location only 20 minutes from downtown Helena.

"Wasn't hard to find the cabin. Only 3 miles off Interstate 15 with an awesome view. Closest neighbors were 1/4 mile away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. No TV for a week was refreshing. The Wi Fi hook up worked like a champ so we could remain connected when we wanted. Located half way between Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park (3 hours each direction), we made day trips to both parks and had a wonderful time. The cabin is spacious with queen bed and full bath on main floor and two bedrooms with 3/4 bath downstairs. Those bedrooms have 2 double beds and two single beds. Washer and dryer downstairs. Also a day bed in living room on main floor. Everything was clean and nicely organized. Highly recommended if you are looking to stay in the Helena area."
