  • Perfect Summer Getaway

"Our family of seven stayed here for a week in July. This luxurious Moosewood chalet is absolutely stunning! The owner has furnished this house with exceptional taste and provided everything needed from supplies for cooking to plenty of towels (and we use lots as a family of 7). There are movies and traditional games to entertain, but who needs those when you can watch a moose and her calf, fox, and beavers out the picture window? The view of Lone Peak from the spacious, luxurious master bedroom will make you feel like you are still dreaming when you wake up in the morning. The chalet is close to many Big Sky activities but feels very private as it backs to a wooded area with a stream and pond. After strenuous or leisurely hikes (we did both), a fun filled day enjoying beautiful sights at Yellowstone (highly recommended), or enjoying the resort town with the kids, a glass of wine and time in the hot tub (after putting the kids to bed) was a perfect way to end the day. The owner’s attention to detail and concern for guest comfort has made it a guarantee that Big Sky will see our family again soon!"

"David was very easy to work with. The home is centrally located on the east side of Glacier Park. You are within 10-15 minutes of both the Many Glacier and St. Mary entrances. For those unfamiliar with the geography, the east side of the mountains is more arid and sparsely populated compared to the west side. We stayed on both sides and enjoyed more sunshine in this location. Although this home is located on the lake most of the view is blocked by trees, but there is a walkway and chairs down by the lake. The view of the mountains from the dining room is spectacular. We enjoyed watching the clouds roll in from the west and the free roaming horses saunter by the house daily. If you are a bird enthusiast, you will see and hear several species right from the window. We saw several deer as well. Be prepared for the lake area and the Blackfeet Reservation to be rustic and not a high end resort-tourist area. The gravel road leading to the property is quite the off-road experience, but ultimately will be one of the memories that brings a smile to our faces as we think of the family members in the back seat getting bounced around. The home itself is solid with quality furnishings and decor. The beds were comfortable. One of my favorite memories will be looking at the house as from a distance with the wood log fence surrounding it. Quite a beautiful change from our tropical Florida surroundings. Overall, I highly recommend The Stone House as the perfect place to enjoy Glacier National Park."

  • Very clean and comfortable home!

"Diana is an incredible communicator! Her home is very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. I highly recommend this home for a vacation rental. For five of us, we had lots of space and it was more comfortable than a cramped hotel room. A great value!"

  • Very nice experience

"This cabin was a great place to stay while visiting Yellowstone. Off the beaten path but close to the Big Sky village. Very comfortable."
