  • Awesome Property Made for An Awesome Vacation!

"My husband and I stayed at the cabin for a week, initially thinking it would make a good base-camp of sorts for our daily hiking excursions. It was so much more than that! Christy and Paul have thought of everything to make the stay a real vacation. From providing every resource you could imagine for hiking, fishing, sightseeing, and pleasure reading, the cabin also resonated warmth (and coziness) as soon as we walked in. Watching the wildlife outside the cabin was exciting and fun. We saw deer, bear, martens, and a lot of birds. Being such a short distance from the NE entrance to Yellowstone was an added bonus for visits to the park during the week. The temperatures ranged from the 30s-40s in the morning to the 60s-70s at the end of the day. We would also recommend stopping at the local businesses in both Cooke City and Silver Gate - very knowledgeable staff at the shops (and the ice cream cones and truffles are excellent!). We hope to return some time in the future - hopefully with others as there was more than enough room for more (2 queen beds upstairs in the loft). It was a clean, well-maintained, and user-friendly cabin, and Christy was great to work with. We would recommend renting this property."

  • Perfect cabin!

"Wow! Great clean , comfortable, good location, and very well stocked cabin. Perfect spot at end of Cooke city, walk to town, but still wooded enough for privacy. 20 minutes to ranger station in Lamar valley to watch wildlife. The cabin has only one bathroom but plenty of hot water for 5 showers! Washer and dryer was a plus for traveling family of 5. Kitchen has everything needed for fixing meals and we did several evenings. Seen deer most every day from bedroom window in mornings. Lamar valley is our favorite spot in Yellowstone. Bear, wolves, bison, coyotes, pronghorn....we saw it all! Moose right outside Silvergate too! What a great trip."

  • Incredible location and amentites!

"this was a stop for our family of six during a three week journey around Montana and Wyoming. and the amazing drive right out the front door into Yellowstone's Lamar valley often made our 'commuting' back and forth to the other areas of the park better than the actual destination area! i will say it was a joy to find everything we could possibly need. plenty of pots/pans, dishes and utensils in the kitchen! after seeing how complete it was we actually opted to cook in instead of dining out. the two huge bedrooms and the nook bed meant all had plenty of space. the extra 1/2 bath downstairs meant others could bath without feeling they were 'hogging' the bath. the wide open downstairs gave everyone more than ample room to spread out and regroup before moving on. Adding the laundry equipment in made it a joy to pack away clean clothing instead of having to fly with dirty things. and when it all was done we sat on the deck with a glass of wine and enjoyed watching the wildlife walk on the hills right in front of us. we cannot say how please we were to have shared this lovely home for our stay- it would be difficult to find better!"

  • Perfect location

"We had an excellent time and the accommodations were excellent. The view and atmosphere were outstanding as was the cabin. What I did not expect was that our hosts and our caretakers as well as everyone we met in Silvergate and Cooke City were so friendly. We were even greeted by the town bison named Franklin. Thank you to Pat and Cat and Living Waters Properties for making sure we were comfortable and relaxed. We wil be back and hope to bring our new grandson."
