  • 50th Wedding Anniversary

"We decided to do something "non-traditional" for our fiftieth wedding parties, no family gathering, no one telling us how good we look to be this old (72 and 70). After reading other reviews we decided to rent The Fishing Cabin at Beartooth Lodge, for a week. It was an OUTSTANDING experience. Right on the river, we were sung to sleep each night by the sound of rushing water. In the morning, we awakened to see deer drinking from the river, not 20 yards from our window. At night we built fires in the fire-pit, or grill steaks on the grill/smoker on the porch. Zig and Mallie and their daughter, Tana, were perfect hosts. We could not have asked for a better location to celebrate 50 years of life together. Looking forward to another visit to Beartooth Lodge and to the Fishing Cabin."

  • Location is great!!!!

"Great little cabin, its small but perfect for two. Everything worked, its very clean, the view and the quiet is just what we wanted. The people on the site were very helpful, kind and you didn't know they were around until you needed them. We would rent this one again. Silver Gate and Cooke City pace is slow and easy."

  • beautiful old cabin

"We stayed at the cabin for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The cabin is very large, spotless, full of character and full of books with many cozy places to read. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the pots and pans you would ever need. There is a wonderful enclosed porch and a big deck as well. The setting is very peaceful and very close to the Park and the Beartooth Highway. We had friends visiting from out of town and they just loved it.Pat was there to greet us and gave us a warm, personal welcome. She is a delight. FYI The loft might be a bit tricky for someone older or small children. Other than that it was perfect and we hope to return again some day."

  • Perfect cabin!

"Wow! Great clean , comfortable, good location, and very well stocked cabin. Perfect spot at end of Cooke city, walk to town, but still wooded enough for privacy. 20 minutes to ranger station in Lamar valley to watch wildlife. The cabin has only one bathroom but plenty of hot water for 5 showers! Washer and dryer was a plus for traveling family of 5. Kitchen has everything needed for fixing meals and we did several evenings. Seen deer most every day from bedroom window in mornings. Lamar valley is our favorite spot in Yellowstone. Bear, wolves, bison, coyotes, pronghorn....we saw it all! Moose right outside Silvergate too! What a great trip."
