  • Quiet retreat

"I spent a wonderful week at Vicky's Elk Ridge cabin, Sept 1 through Sept 8, 2016. Everything was exactly as advertised on-line. It was the perfect location for visiting the valley, as I was not planning to drive every day. I explored nearby hikes and mountain biking on dirt roads. Anyone considering this lovely cabin will not be disappointed. Thanks for the yummy cobbler Vicky and sharing your sweet cabin."

  • Even more than we expected!

"This place was so amazing. It was our 41 st annivasary and a very special trip for our 6 yr old grandson. We are born and bred Texans but believe we fould convert quickly! We spent 1 week in Montana exploring Yellowstone and another week in Wyoming exploring the Grand Tetons and all her beauty. The 6 yr old was never even slightly bored. He loved every moment. Him and GranPa would act like there was a baby deer outside our window. I would hear the hush, hush wisperings going on and would quickly sneak a peek outside. They would quickly laugh outloud! They were looking at the "littlebaby deer" on the big flower pot. Thought they were pulling one on me every time! We loved the privacy and feeling that we were all alone. The cabin is situated so that you dont realize the owners are next door. We love, love, loved this place. Hopefully we will be back next year, if my health doesnt fail! Thank uou so much for the use of your home."

  • Astonishing views in all directions!

"For my first trip to Montana, I can't think of a better way to get a feel for the big sky full of stars and the expansive landscape than staying in the Golden Grizzly Cabin. It's a gorgeous, well-built cabin with a loft bedroom (gotta be able to handle stairs and not a good place for toddlers because of that). While small and cozy, it has everything you need! A fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a great woodstove and barbecue, a wonderful large whirlpool bathtub (plus a shower). The best part, to me, is being able to lie in bed and look mostly 360 degrees out all the windows to see the scenery, which goes on for miles and miles. It's not even an hour from the north entrance to Yellowstone, and there are lots of places nearby to hike and fish. Even a couple of terrific restaurants within fifteen minutes in the middle of nowhere! The Yellowstone River flows nearby, and it's beyond quiet and peaceful. A perfect place to rest, refresh, relax. Pete and Derrilyn are terrific and helpful and make your stay a five-star one! We will be back! Note, they also have an apartment (which is gorgeous) in their house nearby and you can rent two upstairs rooms (which Derrilyn decorated in an amazing fashion!). So if you want to bring a bigger family group, you can take up the extra rooms."
