  • Very well kept. Very complete older cabin

"We loved being so close to the lake. The kitchen was well supplied and clean. The cabin is comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. One kid on the hide a bed and one kid on the long couch."

  • Great place to stay!

"We came up for a week to stay at Glacier National Park. We had 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids), and some additional relatives joined us for part of the stay, renting out the smaller part of the house as well. We have stayed at multiple properties through VRBO over the years, and this was the best maintained property we have stayed with. Everything was in good shape, clean, and worked well. The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable! We had plenty of space and the boys enjoyed the bunk bed room (complete with a basket of wooden blocks). The house was quiet, the property is surrounded by woods and there is no appreciable road noise (there is an occasional train, and though I could hear it, it was not loud enough to be bothersome). The kitchen is small but we cooked a full dinner for 52 people in it one night without a problem, and the dining table fits quite a few around. The patio and deck areas provide good outdoor seating as well. There was plenty of space, so everyone could find somewhere to have some quiet time when they needed it. The house is 10-15 minutes from West Glacier, it was an easy drive and our host provided directions to the park from the house. Columbia Falls is 15 minutes away if you need a grocery store. The property is also about 5 minutes from the middle fork of the flathead river, which you will pass over on your way to Glacier. It is very cold water! but people do rafting/canoeing and swimming there (we found Lake McDonald in Glacier Park had warmer water). Overall I would definitely recommend this property if you have plans in Glacier National Park, or the surrounding area."

  • Wonderfully secluded

"Everything we needed (except coffee and hair dryer... bring your own) for a wonderful private Yellowstone experience. The property was great for relaxing mornings or evenings when not in the park. The park was not packed in early September like it is in the summer so it was perfect for just the 2 of us on our anniversary!"

  • CockTails at the Tailwater

"Great stay, great maps, superb volumes of reading (quality!) reading material...the river was Wonderful, hard to beat the overall environment. Remote, and that's just what we desired! Surprisingly there was no kitchen dish rag to be found, and a gas grill would have been preferred over charcoal, had good music set-up but few CDs (saw only the 5 included in the disc player). Toaster needed to be updated (or pressure washed). Town of Darby provided our food requirements sufficiently. The drive going west from North Fork was spectacular. Outdoor seating and chairs were excellent, many options to view the river. We enjoyed much time outside reading, tuning into the river, and enjoying our cocktails. Am sure there is wildlife around, but it was scarce during our stay. The owners, Holly and Alex, were pleasant and easy with whom to deal. We could easily return."
