  • Comfortable, beautiful, real-Montana setting

"Gorgeous location on Duck Lake with spectacular sunrises and sunsets every day, the lake on one side and the mountains on the other. Incredibly close and convenient to the best hiking and the most striking mountain view in Glacier (the Many Glacier and St. Mary's Valleys and the Grinnell Glacier trail). Though the west side of the park is ritzier, the east side is much more beautiful. Since there aren't as many restaurant options on the east side it was great to be able to cook for ourselves; Irene made sure the kitchen was well-appointed and stocked with basics like spices, butter, flour and cooking oil and charcoal and propane supplied for grilling. Her home is cozy and comfortable; located on a real-Montana road (not touristy -- a big plus for us!) with cows grazing out front and a herding dog and young women on horseback rounding them up at night. And Irene herself was very gracious, attentive and helpful. If you're coming in from Great Falls, buy your groceries there (at Smith's, just off the interstate). Shopping closer in is just for the basics. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely go back! Thank you, Irene!"

  • Immaculately clean, well appointed and centrally located condo with beautiful view

"My husband, two teenage children and myself spent six nights in this fantastic Big Sky condo in August as we combined vacation with college hunting. My first impressions after getting settled was how immaculately clean it was and how gorgeous the views were! We found the size and layout to be just right for the four of us, we were comfortably able to congregate in the central living area while also having plenty of space when we needed time apart from one another. All of the amenities were as described; I was particularly glad to see the high quality blow-dryer with multiple heat settings :) The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels etc available. The beds were very comfortable and the frames were gorgeous! The sofa bed wasn't as comfortable, but it still worked fine for my son. The owner, Lissa, was extremely helpful and accommodating. When she found out we'd be spending time in Butte, Bozeman and Yellowstone, she sent tons of fantastic recommendations and ideas for things to do. She did the same for the town of Big Sky, from restaurants and coffee shops to what hiking trails we should be sure not to miss. The condo is located in very close proximity to Big Sky, we never drove down; we were able to easily walk into town. At Lissa's recommendation we visited the Farmer's market and also the free outdoor concert in town as well. So much fun! We weren't able to enjoy the fireplace (it was too warm outside) or the hot tub, maybe next time. We all agreed that we made the right choice to stay in Lissa's condo and we would gladly do so again!"

  • Exceptional Rental! Great fly fishing. Spectacular location & view. Private water.

"The place is everything advertised and more. Lodge accomodations, seriously. Our party of long time fishing buddies stayed 8 nights and fly fished the included private water and points downstream for three of six days and nearby fisheries the other three. We drifted from below the house's private launch to 5 miles downstream and enjoyed exclusive fishing on every run and seam we stopped at! We did have to share the best spots with ospreys, bald eagles, moose, kingfishers, wild turkeys, deer, mink(?), and bucky beaver. Unbelievable. There were only three other parties drifting for fun and not fishing in 3 full days on the Clark Fork. Yow. The owner Ray is very generous with his wealth of information about the many area fisheries and dug up fresh info. day by day from his local contacts. He put us on fish in spots we never would have known about. We never did hire a guide as planned. No need. We can't wait to return!"

  • Family Trip was AWESOME!

"We took our whole family up to West Yellowstone and stayed in the FireHole cabin. It was beautiful, clean and convenient! We cooked dinner almost every night and all of kids had a blast! The dining table/area was great and fit ALL of us so we could enjoy each others company every night and morning. I would definitely recommend to anyone and do it again! Thank you"
