Inhale the mountain air, soak up the lake views
Stateline, Nevada is set along the shores of Lake Tahoe, a glistening blue jewel set high in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The lake itself is divided between California and Nevada, with the cozy town just steps from the Golden State's border. While Stateline vacation rentals are popular year-round, they're a particularly hot commodity during the winter and summer seasons when the region offers scores of outdoor recreational opportunities, from skiing to boating. Gambling is also legal in Stateline and the town's 5 major casinos provide an array of indoor activities throughout all 4 seasons.
Let it ride: finding fun from slots to shops
Mingle with high rollers at one of Stateline's major casinos as you tempt Lady Luck at the slot machines, poker tables, or sport's book. If gambling's not your game, fill up at a casino's enormous buffet, dance the night away in a club, or treat yourself to a spa pampering session. For a slower pace, visit the Shops at Heavenly Village, an outdoor shopping center outfitted with plenty of dining options and a movie theater, plus an ice rink during the winter and a miniature golf course in the summer.
From skiing to swimming: outdoor adventures year-round
Tear yourself away from the comfort of your Stateline vacation rental and set out for a day of hiking or biking in the mountains. Don't let the lake go to waste on a warm summer day as you enjoy an afternoon fishing or swimming. Up for something a bit more adventurous? Explore the lake from a parasail, jet ski, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard. Heavenly Mountain Resort, less than 5 minutes from Stateline, bustles with activity during the winter as skiers and snowboarders soar through the air. During the summer, the resort features gondola rides, ziplines, and rope courses.
Sunshine and snow __ Lake Tahoe offers more than a bit of both!
You'll be racing to get outdoors during the pleasant summers, where daytime highs rarely exceed 80 degrees. During the winter, after a day on the slopes, you may find yourself appreciating the warmth of your Stateline vacation rental. Make sure you bundle up, particularly in December and January when evening temps regularly dip below 20. Winter storms can also bring up to 20 inches of snow but the white powder may dust the landscape anytime between November and April. Mild falls and springs offer daytime temperatures in the low 50s and mid-60s.
Alpine lakes and forests _ lose yourself in nature
