  • Great location, roomy and very accomodating. Pool, spa, modern appliances, appreciative owner.

"We are hoping to return in the future. Great location for hiking, bicycling, skiing, mountain biking, water sports, sightseeing, fishing, restaurants, and more. Nearby grocery stores, casinos, golf, bike rentals, and shopping centers. Just bring your own food, most everything is there. Unit has 2 bedrooms, and a loft that sleeps up to 5. Main floor has a combined living room, dining room and a 1/2 bath off to the side. Lower 2 bedroom floor, features 2 full baths. This unit features walk out decks on lower and main floor. An outdoor grill comes in very nice for cooking those special meals. Main floor living area has large TV, stereo, DVD player and wireless WIFI. One bedroom features a large TV also.A walk down the nearby stairs brings you to a large heated pool, and outdoor hot tub. You can drive down and park right at the clubhouse. Also available is a sauna, pool table, and ping pong table. People at the clubhouse are friendly and helpful too. Our family group came in mid July, and found the weather here pleasant and just right for what we came for, mountain trail hiking and exploring. Location was perfect for us as it is in the center of great trails all around us. The spa came in very handy, after a full days climb up to 10,775' at Mt Rose."

  • Wonderful house, location

"We hired this property for ourselves and family from overseas attending our son's wedding in Tahoe. Premises couldn't have been cleaner or better provisioned. Owner was very helpful answering questions. Highly recommended."

  • Nice home, nice location

"We recently stayed for 5 nights for an early summer vacation, wanted a place with easy beach access. The Bear Den was perfect. The home was very comfortable and felt like a home and not a rental. It was very clean and well maintained. The space is nicely set up for a group with 3 floors and 2 large family rooms/dens so it was easy to be together but also ability for privacy. The beds were very comfortable. The deck and backyard were very nice as well with comfy furniture, shady umbrellas, and fire pit with skewers for s'mores (my daughter's favorite part). The private beach was amazing and it was a quick walk up the beach to the resort area with all the equipment rentals. The owners and property manager were very quick and responsive to questions, calls etc and the logistics of rental were easy. I hope to return!"

  • Best of the best

"We've been staying in Tahoe for 20 years...and finally found the best place on the lake! Home of the Stars is right on the lake with wonderful big boulders and green clear water. The large broad deck is great for hanging around, enjoying the views and the calm environment. And there's a hot tub on the deck to boot. Steps off the deck is a private pier...which goes far out into the lake. We set up some beach chairs on the end of the pier and really enjoyed the moment. And yes, we jumped off the end of the pier as well! There are also great trails close to the house, where we hiked along the water and found some secluded beaches for swimming and hanging. Inside the house is great as well. Lots of big windows so the lake is always within view. Big tables for eating and a classy pool table for lots of fun. The place is very clean, big ceilings in the living area. It was awesome!"
