  • Great house for a family of 6

"This is the 2nd year my family has stayed in this wonderful home. It is literally a walk down the street to the beach with private access. The house is very clean, and has all of the necessities such as: towels, kitchen and cooking gadgets, cleaning supplies and over all has an OPEN SPACE. The washer and dryer were perfect amenities that come with the house, and extra blankets are also available for those who need extra, although the house stays comfortably warm. There is a closet full of games for all ages. My toddler of 2 years old did great with the carpeted stair case. No fear of wooden or tile stair accidents. Overall Kid Friendly so long as fireplace and counter top corners are respected and noticed by adults. Beautiful view of the lake from the dining room and patio, and tranquil atmosphere. It rained the majority of our stay, but because the beach was so close, we were able to take a morning walk and enjoy the sound of the shore and view of Mt.Tallac across the lake. There is a short drive to the market, or the restaurant across the street and of course 10 or 8 minutes from state-line casinos. Very convenient, warm, clean, and cozy. Thank you Judi for having us as your guests once again."

  • A whole new view of Reno!

"Who knew Reno was this beautiful? We just arrived today but couldn't be happier with the condo, our hosts, and especially the view! We walked to dinner and enjoyed the park just outside the door. I can't wait to see what tomorrow's explorations bring!"

  • Great home-away-from-home Condo

"As a busy family of four, we rarely get the opportunity to take an extended vacation. My husband grew up in the mountains and we were married nearby in Squaw Valley, so Tahoe holds a very special place in our hearts. The weekend we stayed in Joanna's condo in Incline Village, the weather was gorgeous and the snow plentiful. Our kids, aged 17 and 2, absolutely loved playing in the snow, and my oldest was able to capture some beautiful pictures of the landscape during her mid-day walk. It was Super Bowl weekend when we stayed at the condo and the accommodations were perfect. There was plenty of room both downstairs and upstairs and the bonus media room really worked out perfectly for our oldest. She cozied up in warm blankets and watched movies as my son slept in a nearby room on the same floor while my husband and I were able to view the game on the TV upstairs without disturbing anyone. The master suite upstairs really is like a separate apartment from the downstairs and is perfect for large gatherings or just a nice couples getaway. The master bedroom has the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in away from home -- so comfy, we did NOT want to go back home to ours! Overall, the condo is tastefully decorated, warm, cozy, and inviting. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed -- in fact, we ate every meal at home which was a real bonus because sometimes you just don't want to hassle with getting the troops together to go out to eat. Joanna's place has more than enough room to accommodate families and the nearby restaurants, slopes, and shops make it easy to get around without needing to hop in a car every time. We would absolutely recommend this condo to others and without hesitation, we would stay at the condo again ourselves. In fact, we may just go back this Summer! If you are looking for a cozy, family-friendly, quiet-community to take your next vacation -- consider Joanna's condo. You will not be disappointed!"

  • Nice older home on the edge of the world (or so it seemed)

"This home is on a quiet street along the edge of a large subdivision built (I'm guessing) in the 60's. It's at the very southern edge of Gardnerville and has nice views of the mountains. There are lot's of amenities like Wi-Fi, Garage, AC (Swamp Cooler), spacious kitchen, 3 BR's, gas grill etc. The master bedroom had a comfortable bed and a good shower in the bath. There were a couple of minor things that if improved would have made me give this 5 *'s. One, we had a lot of trouble getting the Wi-Fi to work but a call to Mary helped us get it going. My suggestion is for Mary to type out some simple instructions to get logon along with the password required. The second thing was a brief explanation of what a Swamp Cooler is and how do you make it work. I've lived in the East for 40 years and never have seen one. Again, a call to Mary provided the information and it worked very well during 4 very hot days we spent there in August. The third is the kitchen faucet desperately needed tightening. We had to hold on to the base whenever you turned it on or off. I tried to find a wrench to tighten it but failed. The final item is the coffee maker. It's an old Gevalia that kept turning off before all the coffee brewed. It also uses a cone coffee filter (which was not supplied). I've stayed in 40 - 50 VRBO's and never encountered a need for cone filters. I always bring regular coffee filters with me but not cone filters. My advice? Buy a $15 Mr. Coffee maker at Wal-mart. Again...I highly recommend Mary's house and with a few improvements it would have been perfect"
