"Spent two weeks in Ailsa"s farmhouse. So quaint and peaceful and the scenery was so beautiful. We both grew up in this area and it was close to family and friends . Enjoyed sitting under the apple tree, having cookouts and enjoying the wildflowers. My little toy poodle loved the cows. The brown and white cow seem to take a special interest in him. Eight tom turkeys would stroll across the property every morning and just below the farmhouse we waited five minutes for 60 plus mother turkeys and babies to cross the road. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and wildlife , the blueberries and black raspberries that grew in the black yard were an added bonus. We loved the farmhouse so much we are planning on spending two months next year."

  • Best Lake House Ever!

"We had so much fun at Hemlock Harbor lake house...there is so much to do!! Fishing off the dock, kayaking and canoeing, and swimming in the crystal clear waters of Lake Sunapee. Plus, it's just a short walk to town for some fun! Lucy and Greg were incredible hosts, making sure we were comfortable, showing us the ropes, and letting us play with all the toys! Hopefully, we didn’t disturb them (or the neighbors) too much with our very frequent (and sometimes late night) player piano playing! That was so much fun (and what a workout!) Everything was just awesome, we have rented a lot of places, and these guys do it top notch (there’s nothing worse than checking in only to find out that toilet paper and dish soap aren’t supplied!! They go way, way, way, above and beyond that!) We truly had a great time, if we do Sunapee again, they our first call!"

  • Weekend at Craftsmen Craft Fair, Mt Sunapee Resort, New Hampshire

"Accommodations were as stated on VRBO website and more. All the comforts of home comfortable bed, loads of room, nicely decorated, very quiet and near points of interest. Cindi and Brett were in the main home available and friendly. We would definitely stay again and refer our friends to stay at this lovely setting"

  • Perfect Ski House

"I have rented this house for ski season for the past five years, with two other families. We all have kids and we ski at Mount Sunapee. We pretty much spent every weekend and vacation week up at the lake, and we have unbelievably good memories of the entire time. It's convenient (11 minutes) to the mountain, and really an ideal ski house-- complete with a mud room for boots, etc. The house is very well finished-- lots of great woodwork, and solidly constructed. Heating costs were quite reasonable. The house is great for kids, with a large basement with TV, TT and fooseball. The kitchen is fabulous-- each family took turns cooking, and we pretty much ate in every Saturday night and then sat in front of the fire. The view of the lake is amazing, and on occasion I've even cross country skied across the lake to the mountain... and when there's no snow, you can ice-skate off the dock! It's large enough for two or three families to all be there together. The owner (Peter) is fantastic, and was always very responsive for any issues that arose. In short, for a large ski house in Sunapee, you cannot do better. This place is amazing."
