  • Perfect location for vacation for family of 4!

"My family had an amazing stay. The house was just as described in the listing. There was more than enough room for my family of 4. We didn’t even need to use the 3rd loft bedroom. It was clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We shopped at the local Hannaford’s and cooked/grilled all our meals at the house which saved us tons of money. The location was beautiful. We loved waking up to see the water and mountains each morning and we enjoyed some beautiful sunsets in the evening. We had a beautiful week of weather and took full advantage of the outdoor space. Some of the outdoor seating and definitely the table umbrellas have seen better days, but the pool and fire pit make up for it. My kids LOVED the pool and never wanted to leave. During the little time we did spend indoors, the kids enjoyed watching shows on Roku and the house was wifi equipped. Annie was a terrific host. She provided a detailed overview of the property as well as a written document outlining the expectations of your stay. She did regular check ins and was readily available if needed. It’s about a 25 min ride to North Conway which gives you easy access to plenty of other things to do…mini golf, Conway Scenic Railroad, Attitash, Diana’s bath, shopping, restaurants, etc. Decent dining options close by include Hobbs and the Yankee Smokehouse. We got pizza one night from Boyle’s Family Market…it doesn’t look like much but it’s right up the street and was really good! Some things to be aware of: There are other rental units on the property. This had zero impact on our stay but we were not aware of this until arrival. The water access from the house is an inlet with shallow water. The view from the house is actually looking between Ossippe Lake and Broad Bay. It is perfect for use of the kayaks and canoes but you do need to venture out a bit for swimming. There is an amazing sandbar after a short paddle with a volleyball net that is a hot spot and fills up quickly with boats and people. There is a public boat drop right at the end of the road for anyone with motorized vehicles where you can access Ossipee Lake instead of the inlets and bay area. No shoes in the house. Overall it was a great stay and I would return and recommend to others."

  • Perfect weekend getaway

"Myself and 3 other moms rented this cottage for our first ladies weekend away for Columbus day. When we arrived we noticed the place was very welcoming and exceptionally clean. We unpacked and immediately went to sit on the fully screed porch overlooking the lake and listening to the loons. We sat by the fire right on the water and explored the bay by kayak for several hours. We were also greeted by the nicest neighbor in the driveway. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to unwind. We were already talking about coming back next summer. Thank you both for sharing your vacation home with us!"
