  • Back in time

"Visited Ossipee Lake many times as a kid, returned 50 years later and had a delightful stay at Suzanne's lake house. The home is simply appointed, wood everywhere, porch, deck, canoe, and everything/all the bits worked. It was just like the camp I stayed in as a kid. While the summer may be fun, our September vaca was killer thanks in part to our host."

  • Great property in a great location

"We rented the house between Christmas and new years and couldn’t have had a nicer vacation. The house was spacious and clean. The beds were super comfortable, which you don’t often find in rentals. Having Gunstock less than 15 minutes away was great. We spent a lot of days there and then warmed up by the fireplace or pellet stove. The driveway was plowed during the snow storm so we had no trouble getting in and out. Also, the owner was very responsive ahead of time with any questions we had. I would definitely rent here again."

  • Review by first time vacation rental consumer

"This was our family's first web-based vacation rental, and this property very definitely exceeded our expectations. The home was fully furnished with full kitchen utensils and basic food items (little things like full spice cupboard). We were delighted to find a first class pool table and ping pong table in the converted garage/playroom, which had a full length screen, allowing the full two door garage to remain open while using the games. The general condition of the house was just terrific, no annoying failures in windows, door latches, etc. The bedrooms were just fine, and there's even an office space is someone needs to spend some "work time" alone. The property is nicely isolated in deep forest, just a 10 minute walk to very professionally operated community beach - which was perfect for our two grandchildren and other family members. Wolfeboro and Meredith were just the right distance away, so we had seclusion and little traffic, but close enough (20 to 30 mins.) to wander into town for fun. Our interactions with the owner were easy and relaxed, with plenty of flexibility with our inexperience with web based rentals. Overall, I'd certainly recommend this property to my friends and family. We would definitely come back if our plans bring us to Lake W. in the future."

  • A great spot for a family-friendly vacation

"We spent a relaxing week with our teens in the impeccably clean two bedroom cottage at Colonial Pines. The property is quiet and shaded by many pine trees with enough space between each cottage to provide a little privacy when desired. The kitchen had all the necessities plus a full-sized refrigerator and stove, so we stocked up on groceries at the nearby Hannaford Supermarket and enjoyed many meals at the table in the screened-in porch. The lake had warm and clear water and we enjoyed swimming, paddling our little boat around, and just hanging around near the water. We capped off several days by spending evenings relaxing by the stone fireplace while enjoying some s'mores. We found Colonial Pines to be a good home base for our daytime excursions (hiking, biking, sightseeing) with convenient access to local restaurants and places to get ice cream (Kellerhaus!). The owners live on site and were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again."
