  • Great family spot!!

"Our family was looking for a place that could accommodate 10 or more people ranging in age from young teens to great-grandparents. This 4 BDRM, 3 BA home fit the bill perfectly! The finished basement with pool table and television provided a place for the younger group to hang out and enjoy active time while the older folks could relax and enjoy the views of the lake from the large living room. A short walk to the private beach and dock provided us with all the amenities for water activity we could ask for. With 6 kayaks, a rowing dinghy and a paddleboat, no one felt left out of the fun. After our time swimming and boating, we all gathered on the large sun deck where there is a 7 person hot tub, picnic tables and a gas grill built into the chimney. (We called it the "turbo grill"). A short drive into Alton Bay puts you right on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. We had a wonderful week here and definitely plan to return next year!"

  • Perfect cabin on the lake

"This place is what you imagine when you think of a lakeside retreat: a winding dirt road through the woods, a homey wood cabin with history in the walls, the sounds of the waves lapping on the shore outside your door. The owners were very accomodating about squeezing us in as a last minute replacement for a cancellation, and very friendly and helpful in our communications throughout. (Though they're so well-versed in renting this out, that there really isn't much need to get in touch once you're there.) You're well out of the way, but it's just a ten minute drive back to the heart of Wolfeboro village. There's a private, sandy crescent beach, with a wade out through a sandy cove, and water clear to the bottom even as you swim out to the platform. You're tucked in a nook midway up the eastern shore of the lake, with sun all afternoon and fantastic sunsets over the water. The kitchen is well supplied, and we cooked lunch and dinner on the grill almost every day. The family history is evident all around inside, with old pictures of the construction, knickknacks, driftwood discoveries and more peppered throughout the house; but you don't feel like an intruder, you feel like a welcome guest."
